The performance difference is hardware dependent and may be unnoticeable.The terms used are described, as follows: Refresh Rate: This is the rate of frame draw of a certain model on a certain hardware system. Expressed in FPS (Frames Per Second). Response Time : The selector response time to mouse movements, resulting in highlighting entities.General Display Driver Integration ProblemsEffect:Picture looks dirty.Access:Uninstall old drivers and install the new driver, as follows: 1. Download the last version of the graphic card driver from the relevant website (ATI, NVIDIA, 3Dlabs etc.).2. Uninstall all previous drivers:Start / Settings / Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs3. Disable 2 antivirus services:Start / Settings / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Servicesa. DefWatch or Symantec DefWatchb. Norton AntiVirus Client orSymantec AntiVirus Client4. Install the new driver.Details:None.Limitation:Keep the old driver; you may need to reinstall it in cases of regression.Ignore OpenGL Picture CopyEffect:Pick response time improvement.Access:Menu / Tools / Preferences / General / Display / Ignore OpenGL picture CopyDetails:Ignore redundant OpenGL command.Limitation:On some graphic cards it does not work well, and causes the view to be dirty with highlight traces.Skip OpenGL FlushEffect:Refresh rate improvement.Access:Menu / Tools / Preferences / General / Display / Skip OpenGL flushDetails:Ignore redundant OpenGL command.Limitation:On some graphic cards it does not work well, and causes points and sketcher lines to disappear.OpenGL display List UseEffect:Refresh rate improvement.Access:Menu / Tools / Preferences / General / DisplayDetails:Uses a technique of preprocessing display commands into a list, which are drawn faster on a call.Limitation:Some cards refresh rate may degrade on large models.Some cards may be unstable using this option.Hardware ProblemsEffect:Some graphic cards crash work very slow or leave dirt on screen.Access:Three hardware dependent options: Display Properties / Advanced / OpenGL Settings /Graphic-Card Tab. Set the buffer-flipping mode to block transfer. Display Properties / Advanced / Troubleshoot / enable Write Combining.
