Module 8unit1 Changes Unit 1 I was two一、教学目标:知识技能目标:1、能听、说、读、写并正确使用单词:who, me , then, hair, so , grandparents.2、能理解并使用was ,were来谈论过去的事情和情况。3、能听懂、会读、理解课文并回答相关的问题。情感态度目标:培养学生的观察能力,发现人物和事物过去与现在的变化,保持他们对学习英语的热情。学习策略目标:培养学生积极与他人合作,积极运用英语进行交流,在交流中发展运用语言的能力。二、教学重点难点:1、使用 “was” “were”描述从过去到现在发生的变化。2、听、说、读、写并正确使用单词:who, me ,then, hair, so, grandparents.3、使学生在活动中完成对课文的理解,以及听、说、读、写的训练。三、教具准备:多媒体课件、单词卡、图片四、教学过程:Step 1. Warming upa. Greetingsb. Sing a song: London bridge is falling downc. Review the adjectives.Bring out some cards of adjectives and let students to say the antonym. Give a sticker to the student who gives the first answer.Then review the adjectives with the whole class.Step 2. Lead-in.Show a picture of Yao Ming.T: who is this man? (Use card to teach the word who)Ss: He is Yao Ming.T: Is he tall?Ss: Yes, he is.Show another picture of Yao Ming (he was young and short)T: He wasSs: short T: Yes, he was short.(Show the sentence on the screen and write “was” in a different color)Show a picture of my grandparents.T: This is my grandparents. (Teach the word grandparents)Now they are old.Show another picture of them.T: But they were young then. (teach the word then)(show the sentence on the screen and write “were” in a different colour)T: This one is me. I was ten, then. Now I am twenty- six.Let students to discuss the changes of these sentences.Teacher explain the use of “was, were”Chant: If it happened we use “were” “was” .If it is now we use “am” “ is” “are”.Now lets chant:Now, now, now, am, is, and are.I am tall. He is fat.Now, we are happy.Then, then, then, was, was, were.I was short. He was thin.Were, were, were, we you and they were.Step 3. Presentation排火车:S1:I wasthen. I am.now.S2: He/she was.then. Lets have a look.1Listen to the tape, and answer the questions: Who is that little girl? Learn the chant.First, get the Ss to look at the pictures and describe them.(A small chick and two big fat hens.) Then play the spoken version of the chant and get the Ss to repeat the words then chant.Step IIIDrill and Practice1. Listen and repeat.2. Chant and do the mimes at the same time.3. Have the Ss do Activity IV.Look at the pictures. Compare “now” and “then”. Then describe the pictures. (Cultivate the Ss oral English.)4. Do the Activity Book.Step IVGameHave the Ss work in groups. Sa will act out Sb who was in many years ago. Then Sc will introduce the two Ss. Find out some changes with the past and present tense.Step VHomework1. Read the
