JOB DESCRIPTIONFood and Beverage SECTION ONE: JOB OUTLINEJob Title / Level:Banquet Coordinator / Level 4Division/Department:Food & Beverage DepartmentReports to:Banqueting Operations Manager / Asst. Banqueting Operations ManagerDirectly Supervises:-Dotted Line Reporting to :-Written By: Director of Food & Beverage DepartmentReviewed By: Daniel Aylmer General ManagerSECTION TWO: JOB SUMMARYAct as liaison between Meeting Professionals/Catering Customers and all operating departments to ensure a high standard of organization and guest service throughout all convention and banquet meeting areas. This position provides a visible and accessible floor presence in order to anticipate, understand and act upon all client needs.SECTION THREE: KEY RESPONSIBILITIESKey Results AreasActivities% of Time Spent & Measurablesn Proactively monitors customer functions, spending 80% of each day interacting with meeting professionals and their attendees to ensure customer satisfaction.n Reviews all relevant written communications (Group Resumes, Daily Event Lists, Banquet Event Orders, etc) and verifies accuracy of room sets.n Meets with Meeting Professionals/Catering Customers prior to the start of the first event to verify meeting specifications and establish communication method.n Remains accessible to Meeting Professionals/Catering Customers throughout assigned functions.n Continually inspects for cleanliness and maintenance of all function space, public areas and banquet areas. Coordinates with all operating departments to ensure top product quality. Pre-inspection of each function room before function/meeting startsn Coordinates AV equipment with the AV event companies and inhouse-engineering to ensure customer satisfactionn Coordinates Arrival and Departure experience of meeting groups with in the Banqueting Operationn Communicates any event changes in a timely manner to relevant operating departments and to the Convention/Catering Manager responsible for the group.n Assures compliance with all Starwood safety standards.80%n Provides support to the service teamleaders and Group Coordinators to ensure effective operation in F&B and for the designated groups.n Attends all pre-event meetings and other meetings specified by the Director of Convention Services and Director of F&B.n Facilitates communication from one shift to another.n Checking Delphi computer system for forecasts/BQT availabilities/reports20%SECTION FOUR: JOBHOLDER REQUIREMENTSPHYSICAL: (Age, Sex, Presentation, Speech, Health) Age 24-30, Female. Good appearance. Good health. Normal voice, with leadership quality.
