Topics include refrigeration, psychometrics, solar radiation, heating and cooling loads in buildings and design of duct and piping systems. Theory and analysis are emphasized throughout.IBTM 520先进能源转换系统Theory and developmental state of advanced energy conversion systems including fuel cells, solar energy, heat pipes, heat pumps, thermoelectrical cooling, and other advanced systems.IBTM 523空气污染模型和控制之应用The physics of air pollution dispersion and methods of modeling will be discussed. The science of the release of the pollutants from solid materials is covered in depth. The learned materials science and evaporation engineering will be combined for use in a mini-project on material selection for low pollution environment. This will uplift the ability of students in designing better systems for intelligent buildings and managing their daily operationsIBTM 601B智能建筑物系统专题课: 智能建筑物自动控制系统Principles of advanced control strategies in building automation and control systems; control theory, sensors, novel and mobile controllers, and their applications for air conditioning, fire safety, transportation and lighting control systems; formulation of control models and their numerical solutions.IBTM 601C智能建筑物系统专题课: 智能建筑物系统财务评审Modern technological advancements of intelligent building systems could provide safe, healthy and comfortable living with conveniences. The success of deploying these systems that are technically feasible requires accurate financial assessment. Basic tools and methods of financial assessment will be introduced to analyze the state-of-the-art technologies that could make the buildings inspirational in the contemporary, and life cycle analyses of these inventions and power logistics offer solutions to secure sustainability for the humanity.IBTM 601D智能建筑物系统专题课: 工程风险管理-合同条款Engineering managers and executives prefer to sign contracts with knowledge of the legal liabilities and damages. This course will set the engineering and legal foundations necessary for the assessment of potential liabilities and damages. Case studies on civil, mechanical and building engineering will be analyzed from both the legal and engineering perspectives. The legal consequences of engineering decisions and vice versa will be highlighted with the aim to enable the engineering executives to make informed management decisions on technical and legal issues in everyday contracts.IBTM 601E智能建筑物系统专题课: 筛选环保高可持续性材料的筹略Material choices in the environment are driven by engineering and environmental sustainability. The course will consider material choices from an integrated functional as well as life cycle perspectives.
