Analysis of Teaching Content 教学目标Lesson 22 is the fourth lesson in Unit 4, Book 5.This unit focus on the subject stories and poems, also teach the students cultural about European. Students cares about the subject because it is close to everyone. Lesson 22 mainly talks about the fairy tale of the giant (the first part), let students get more moral.【知识目标】1. To master the words: loud, frightened, board, awake, musician, perhaps.2. To master the expressions: once upon a time run away no longer keep away pass by【能力目标】Improve the students ability of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students can understand the fairy tales well.【情感目标】Students can enjoy the pleasure of literature.【教学重点】Past continuous tense and modal verbs: must.【教学难点】Past continuous tense and modal verbs: must. 课前准备 Tape recorder, Multimedia 教学过程Step 1. Warm-up1. Free talk:Show some pictures and tell students they are fairy tales, meanwhile ask students: What does it mean.2. Introduce the fairy tales.Step 2. Presentation1. Think it about:(1) Do you like reading fairy tales?(2) Do you know any famous fairy tales? What are they?2. Read the fairy tales:Show some pictures of the fairy tales and students say them.3. Enjoy a fairy tale video.4. .Learn the passage:(1) Read the lesson and number the scenes in the correct order on page 57.(2) Check the answers.(3) Explain the new words.(4) Language points:once upon a time:“从前,很久以前”,这是讲故事常用的开头语。=long ago/long, long ago=a long time ago.be filled with: “充满”,其中的filled是动词fill的过去分词,起形容词作用,= be full of.Exclamatory sentence:How happy they are!How 引导感叹句的用法:A. How +形容词或副词+主语+谓语! How nice the girl is!B. How + 主语+ 谓语! How time beautiful!C. How +形容词+a/an + 可数名词的单数形式+ 主语+谓语! How useful a subject we are learning!what 引导的感叹句结构:A. What +a/an + 形容词+可数名词单数+主语+谓语! What a handsome boy he is!B. What+ 形容词+可数名词复数+主语+谓语! What important jobs we have done!C. What+ 形容词+不可数名词+ 主语+谓语! What wonderful weather it is!lie作不及物动词,意为“躺、平放、位于、撒谎”,作“撒谎”讲时,过去式、过去分词是lied, lied,作其他含义讲时,过去式、过去分词是lay, lain;它的现在分词都是lying。如:Zhejiang lies in the east of China. 浙江位于中国东部。He lied to us again. 他对我们又撒谎了。作可数名词,意为“谎言”,短语tell a lie意为“撒谎”。 如:Why did she tell lies this time? 这一次她为什么要撒谎?Step 3. Practice1. Listen and follow to the tape.2. Finish the exercises on page 57. (1)Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the words or phrases in the box. (2)Explain “Past Continuous Tense”.(3)Complete the answers with the information given and find out who the criminal is in the story. Then check the answers.(4) Group work: Discuss with your partner what is your favourite fairy tale?Step 4. ConsolidationDiscuss: Talk about the difference
