To understand the conversation in relation to accidents.2. To get specific information from the listening material.3. To talk about and understand the imperative sentences.l Ability objectiveEnable students to listen to and talk about things that could/can/must happen.l Moral objectiveGet the students to know about how to deal with the accidents.教学重难点教学重点:1. New words and expressions.2. Learn the usage of imperative sentences.教学难点:Grasp the phrases and important sentences.课前准备A tape recorder, multimedia and some pictures.教学过程Step 1 Talk in pairs.1. Let Ss look at the pictures and talk about the pictures by using the words and expressions in the box.2. Go through the words in the box with the students.3. Check if the Ss understand the meaning of the words by asking questions.【设计意图】本活动通过观察图片,结合所给单词,让学生初步感知本单元的话题,同时为句型操练作好词汇准备。Step 2 Listen and check what the pictures are about.1. Play the recording. Ask the Ss to listen and say how accidents often happen.2. Play the recording again. Tell the Ss to check the pictures and number them in the order they hear them described.3. Play the recording once more. Ask the Ss to check whether their descriptions about the pictures on the board are correct.【设计意图】本活动为内容大意理解题。Step 3 Listen and read.1. Elicit some ideas of what to do if someone is hurt in an accident. Write them on the board.2. Play the recording. Tell the Ss to listen for the advice on what to do when accident happens.3. Play the recording again. Ask the students to check which of their advice is in the recording.【设计意图】本活动旨在通过听对话,让学生熟悉本模块的重点话题,感知情态动词must, can, could表示推测的用法,并培养学生理解大意和辨认细节的能力。Step 4 Read these first aid suggestions and decide if they are good ideas or bad ideas1. Read the passage carefully and tell if they are good or bad ideas.2. Then elicit answers from the Ss.【设计意图】本活动旨在通过听对话,让学生熟悉本模块的重点话题,感知情态动词must, can, could表示推测的用法,并培养学生理解大意和辨认细节的能力。Step 5 Complete the passage with the words in the box.1. Read the passage to get the main idea and then choose the right words.2. Use the correct form of the words to fill in the blanks.3. Elicit answers from the whole class.【设计意图】本活动的目的是培养学生理解文章大意的能力,并培养学生的综合语言表达能力。Step 6 Listening.1. Listen and underline the words the speaker stresses.2. Now listen again and repeat.【设计意图】本活动的目的是帮助学生辨认和掌握句子中单词的重读。Step 7 Work in pairs. Ask and answer questions.1. Repeat the question chorally “What do you do if someone is hurt?” Then have the Ss ask you. Answer them as a model.2. Put more question prompts on the board.3.
