Unit9 Section B (1a2e) 本节在教材中的地位及作用 在学习Section A的基础上,SectionB,继续围绕 现在完成时态,展开读、写的训练,来加深对现在完成时态的理解,明白英汉两种在结构及表达方法的一些异同点。从而提高他们运用所学语言的综合能力。1.Teaching Key Points(1). Key vocabulary in this period:the Terracotta Army, the Great Wallthe Birds Nest, the Palace Museum ,Night SafariSingapore, population, Southeast Asia, western food, Indian food(2). Target language in this period.:Have you visited ? Have you been to ?Have you seen ? Have you tried ?2. Method Objects in Teaching(1) Listening and speaking methods. (2) Reading methods.(3) Practice method.3. Teaching DifficultyMake conversations freely using the target language.3. Teaching Aids1. A tape recorder.2. A computer for multimedia use. 教学目标: 1. Ss: Yes, I have / No I havent. 复习所学,引入新课。2)1a以书中的图片和Have you ever been to.?呈现 the Great Wall, the Palace Museum, the terracotta Army, the Birds Nest. 学生朗读并快速记忆。Step 2. Listening:1) SS. Read through 1b, Play the tape for the students to listen, check the questions the SS. Hear.2) T: Listen again and take notes. Then check the answers.3) Make a conversation with a student as an example, then SS. Work in pairs.鼓励学生运用所学交流。Step 3.Pre-reading1) Present some new words by PPT. thousand num. 一千 thousands of 数以千计的 safe adj.安全的fear v.& n.害怕;惧怕 Indian adj.印度人;印度的 spring n.春天Japanese adj.日本人;日本的 fox n.狐狸 equator n.赤道引导学生记忆单词,减轻阅读难度。2)Play the videos and introduce Singapore. Today, well learn more about Singapore by reading the article. 通过播放视频和介绍,激发学生阅读欲望。Step 4 While-reading:1) Scanning: answer the questionHow many reasons can you find for visiting Singapore?阅读指导,快速阅读第一段,后面每段及余下每段首句便能找到答案。2) Careful reading Fill in the blanks according to the article.Singapores geographical positionA small island (1) _Language(s) people speak in Singapore(2) _Food we can find in SingaporeChinese food, (3) _ and Japanese food.Name of the night zoo in Singapore(4) _Temperature in SingaporeIt is (5) _ all year round.阅读提示,先浏览表格内容,细读全文。然后,补全表格空白。遇到的不认识的单词或句子,通过上下文猜测词义,理解句子,对个别不妨碍对文章理解词可以略过。Keys: 1. in Southeast Asia 2.
