Language focus:any other, in the world, as.as, one of, how long, talk about, as far as, man-made objects2. Vocabulary: square, meter, deep, desert, population, Asia,wall, tour, tourist, ancient, protect, wide 教学目标:1、 语言目标:(1) 掌握本节课重点词汇、重点短语和句子。(2) 能用比较级和最高级谈论有关地理和自然的话题。2、技能目标:(1)学会对事实和数字的比较,提高听说能力。(2)学会较大的数字的读法。(3)能熟练掌握和运用单词square ;meter; deep 和desert,表达物体的长、宽、高、深和面积。3、情感目标:(1) 培养学生积极参与活动的兴趣,了解世界上的名山大川。(2) 培养学生热爱大自然,保护环境的意识。教学重点(Teaching importances):1、学习并掌握表达物体的长、宽、 高、深和面积。2、正确运用形容词和副词比较级和最高级。(1)形容词和副词的最高级;英语中大数字读法。(2)形容词前必须加the;副词的最高级前常省略the.(3)范围介词any other,in,of,of all的正确使用。e.g. Tom is the tallest student in the class. Spring is the best season of the year.教学难点:1、形容词和副词的比较级和最高级变化规则和用法。2、使用比较级来描述人的外貌,学会对事实和数字的比较,物体之间的对比。3、能运用本节所学内容自由谈论自然景观。教学思路: 本课的教学内容是人教版八年级英语下册第七单元的第一课时,本课时是第七单元的一个开篇,重点在于引导学生学习形容词和副词最高级,任务以听、说、读为主,因此,知识目标定为掌握本课时的单词和掌握最高级构成,以及了解四个世界之最。情感目标定为鼓励学生多说多练,使学生增强对大自然的探究兴趣。教学准备:多媒体课件、学生导学案、自制教具教学设计:Step 1 Warming-up(以自制教具里的家庭图片和Free talk 开篇,意在激活学生原有知识体系,渲染英语课堂氛围的同时也为后续的学习作铺垫。)1. 图片导入:(1) 展示自制教具,导入新课,激发学生学习积极性。(2) Watch the photos and talk about them “How big/high/long/big is ? and help the students to answer: Its meters/kilometers/cm big/high/long/big.2.Free talk.T: What is your favorite subject? Can you guess what my favorite subject is? What can we learn in a geography class?
