Teacher talks about the movies by asking:“what hit movies 热映电影 are on these days?” “yes, they are: let the bullets fly让子弹飞 by Jiang Wen, Orphan of the Zhao Family赵氏孤儿by Chen Kaige, and if you are the one非诚勿扰by Feng Xiaogang”2. Tell the students :I like because it is a comedy.I dont like because it is a tragedy.I like the comedy but I dont like the tragedy.(Writ down tragedy and help them to understand the meaning of tragedy.)Step two: Presentation and practiceTeacher writes the types of movies on the board.Task 1. Ask and answer.Teacher and a student ask and answer as follows:- What kind of movies do you like?- I likeTeacher ask the class: -Does he like ?- Yes, he does. He likes /No. he doesnt. He doesnt like Teacher write the sentence patterns on the blackboard:He likes / He doesnt like Does he/she like ?Yes, he does./ No. he doesnt.And teacher write the adjectives on the blackboard. Then ask the student:- Why do you like ? (Help them to answer)- Because they are Ask the class:- why does he like ?- He likes because they are Write the patterns on the black board.Task 2 Pair work: interviewAsk the students to interview each other about their favorite movies with the given sentence patterns. Task three: Writing.1. The teacher write some conjunctions and the corresponding Chinese meaning on the blackboard. Get the students to write a report according to their interview using the conjunctions when necessary. For example: I have a friend. Her name is Ann. She likes comedies very much. And she likes thrillers, too. But she doesnt like documentaries because theyre boring.
