Its about one of my daughters toys. Then ask them to read the passage aloud and try to understand the passage, especially the underlined words. My daughter has a lovely toy monkey. It is a girl monkey. It has a long tail and wears a flower on its head. She thinks it quite beautiful. She loves it very much. She has had it for about five years. She named it Xiao Ke. She played with it every day until she went to school. Its special to her because it was her fifth birthday gift that her father bought. I think the toy monkey has given her many sweet memories. She used to regard herself as its mom. So she often cleaned its face or dressed it. She would never go to bed without it. One day a friend of hers came to my house to play with her. The girl was so careless that she made the monkeys face dirty. My daughter was very angry and sad. She cried and cried for a long time. She can still remember this thing until today.(设计意图:引导学生形成文章意识,然后再鼓励他们去朗读,进行语言的输入,为输出做好积累,为接下来的写作练习做好准备。)Step 4 Consolidation - work on 3aThink about your favorite things from childhood which you still have. For example, it can be a toy or a book. Then take notes using the questions.1.Show some pictures of toys and books.First teach the names of some toys. magic square toy bear snow globe scooter transformer building block toy car doll (设计意图:给学生展示不同玩具的图片,目的是激活学生头脑中和写作话题相关的词汇,语段等,引发学生的回忆,从而确定写作中的物品是什么。为接下来形成一篇文章做好铺垫。)2. Show the questions to the students. Get them to think about how to answer. T: Do you remember these toys? Which of them did you have in your childhood?What is your favorite toy in your childhood that you still own it now? How long have you had it? How did you get it? Did someone give it to you? Who? Why do you like it so much? Why is it special? Can you say anything more about it?(留给学生一点时间先思考这些问题,在脑海中形成一个初步的预设。为下一步问答练习做好准备。)3.The teacher makes a conversation with a student as a sample. (教师先和一个程度较好的同学做对话,起到带头师范作用,给全体同学提供一个参照。)4. Get students to write their answers in the exercise books. 参考答案:I have had it since I was a baby.My grandmother made it for me.I slept with it every night after I got it.I cant sleep without it, so I bring it along with me if I have to spend a night away from home.(学生先独立完成3a,然后四人一组分享,修改并完善自己的答案,丰富自己的语言。通过合作目的是让学生借鉴更多的同伴资源,帮学生打开思路。)5.Get students to ask and answer the questions in pairs. The teacher walks around and offers some help if necessary when they are talking.(教师巡视学生问答情况,一方面起到监督的作用,另一方面可以及时给学生提供帮助。)6. Ask two or three pairs of students to show their conversation to the whole class.(让学生展示他们的对话,不仅锻炼了这些同学的口语,增强他们对写作材料的认识,同时给予其他学生目标语言的输入和模仿的机会。)While-writing activities 写中活动Step 5 Practice: write the Ss own articles. Work on 3b on P80. Write three paragraphs about your favorite thing. Use your notes in 3a to help you.1. Revise the first draft 修改初稿After all the students finish writing, first check the composition on the blackboard with all the students .(先鼓励学生评价黑板上的作文,找出拼写,或者语法错误,老师再加以补充。集体批改给全体学生提供了一个重新审视自己文章的机会,给下步自评提供依据和参照。)5. Ask the Ss to check their own compositions. 学生自评(学生通过和老师一起修改初稿,审查自己文章里的错误并及时改正。)Post-writing activities写后活动Step 6 Make comments on the Ss articles. 1.Students mutual evaluation 生生互评T: Now lets check your partners composition in your group.(小组内互相交换分享彼此的文章并互相改错,对有疑问的地方提出小组讨论。)(设计意图:采用生生互评的方式,既可发现问题,提出改进意见,也可在学生间建立真诚友情。有利于学生提高对学习状况的自我反思能力,提高学生学习的积极性和主动性。)2.小组推荐展示本组优秀作品,老师或其他同学点评。3.佳作赏析 My favorite thingMy favorite thing from childhood is my teddy bear. Ive had it since I was five years old. My grandmother gave it to me on my birthday. I like the teddy bear so much because its dressed in my favorite color. Its special to me because my grandmother made it for me. I think I will keep it forever, to remind me of my grandmother. The teddy bear has given me many good memories.
