In order to make it clear, I will prepare to begin my lesson form following parts.Part I .Teaching material1.Status and functionThe topic of this unit is about the world. Such a topic is related to geography and nature. so its easy to arouse students learning interests. As we all know, reading has a great effect on speaking and writing. Therefore this lesson is in the important position of the teaching material.2. Have you ever heard this mountain? Now I want to know something about the mountain. You can discuss these questions with your partner and then show your answers to us. .What is the mountain?How high is the mountain?.Is it dangerous to climb the mountain?.What do you know about the mountain? Ss:Its Qomolangma. Its 8,844.43 meters high. I think it dangerous to climb the mountain. In order to reach the top, the climbers will risk their lives. Its very high. On the top, its very cold. Its hard to breatheT:Yes. You know a lot about the mountain. In this class, we will learn more about Qomolangma.设计意图:教师先通过视频设计问题,从而引入本节课的话题。Step 3:PresentationT:Show a passage to present some new words and phrases . Teach them to read correctly. And then let the students remember the new words and phrases and challenge their memoriesMy achievementNow, Im on Qomolangma, in the southwestern part of China. Im in the face of the strong forces of nature. The dangers include thick clouds, heavy storms and freezing weather conditions. Its also very hard to take in air. Can I reach the top and achieve my dream? Perhaps not, but I want to challenge myself, even though its dangerous. I will succeed.设计意图:教师先通过一篇与课文相关的小短文呈现新单词和短语,让学生读熟并记住,以便学生更好地理解课文意思。Step 4:While-readingI. SkimmingT:Listen to the tape and find the main idea of each paragraphs. Remember: main ideas are usually the first sentence or the last sentence. Summarizing can help you better understand the text.设计意图:在复述文章的环节,还是采用阅读时划分的小组,每两小组复述一段。小组之间复述之后可以进行比较,教师综合较好的复述进行展示。作为口头输出,复述短文可以帮助学生更好的理解语篇。 Step 6:Group workT:Just now we have retold the passage. Now challenge yourselves to make a conversation. The conversation is about The TV program Dad, where are you going ? will invite Dong Li and Alalei to climb Qomolangma, but Alalei is too afraid to challenge herself.
