Warm-up (I) IntroductionT introduces Ts hero.T: My hero is Yao Ming. He was born on September12,1980 in China. He is 2.26 meters. He was a Chinese professional basketball player. Now, he retires. He works hard so he is my hero.(II) DiscussionT: Do you have your hero? Who is your hero? Why? What do you learn from him (her)?(III) lead inT: Boys and girls, do you know Deng Yaping? Look at the picture of her. Can you tell me something about her? Is she a real hero in China? Shes my hero because shes one of the best players in the world. because 引导的原因状语从句,表示行为的原因。2. She trained hard, so she became a great player later.so 引导的结果状语从句,表示行为的结果。3. so that 可以引导一个目的状语从句,表示目的,意思是“为的是;目的是”。4. as well as的用法 (1) 作为习语用作介词时,as well as的涵义是“还有”、“不但而且”。值得注意的是,在A as well as B的结构里,语意的重点在 A,不在 B。因此,“He can speak Spanish as well as English”的译文应该是:“他不但会说英语,而且会讲西班牙语 ”(2) 如果 as well as用作连词引出比较从句,其义为“和一样好”。 He speaks Spanish as well as English应译作:“他说西班牙语像说英语一样好”。语意的重点依旧在前部,不在后半部。 5. Whatever she does, she never gives up! 她无论做什么,都不放弃!give up 的意思是“放弃”。例如:David has decided to give up football at the end of this year. 戴维已经决定今年年底就不再踢足球了。give up doing sth. 表示“放弃做某事”。例如:Why dont you give up smoking? 你为什么不戒烟?6. Deng says that she isnt cleverer than anyone else, but she has a very strong will.邓女士说她并不比别人聪明,但是她有坚强的意志。例如:will 在这里是名词,表示“意志,决心”。 Where theres a will, theres a way. 有志者,事竟成。 clever表示“聪明;灵巧” That is a clever plan. 那是个巧妙的计划。 【设计意图】进一步理解文本的重难点。Step VI. Speaking(I) Read aloud after the listening material.(I) Pronunciation and speakingListen and mark the pauses.1. Shes my hero because shes one of the best table tennis players in the world.2.
