This is my first time to face so many people, I feel a bit nervous. Today Im going to talk about Unit 2 Topic3 Section A. Part One Analysis of the Teaching Material(一) Status and Function1. This lesson is the first one of Topic 3. So if Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the Ss learn the main content of this topic. And it also helps Ss to improve their listening, speaking, reading, writing abilities. And Section A talks about environmental protection and give some advice.2. Such a topic is related to daily environment, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students .(二) Analysis of the StudentsThe Ss has learned English for more than 2 years so far. They dont often use English to express themselves and communicate with others. Some students arent active in the class; they dont want to open their mouths because they are afraid of making mistakes. So they should improve their ways and abilities of learning English.(三)Teaching Aims and Demands 1. Learn some new words:plastic, suppose, nod, agreement, shake 2. Learn a useful sentence: Everyone is supposed to do so.3. Learn the compound sentences with “or”, “and”, “but” and “while”: (1) Noise is a kind of pollution and its harmful to our hearing. (2) The earth is beautiful but people are hurting the earth now. (3) Work hard, or you will fail the exam. (4) She was busy cooking while they were watching TV.4. So, in this lesson, Ill mainly use the two teaching methods. Ill let the Ss to get a better understanding of a passage and improve their synthesis abilities.Part 3 Studying Ways1.
