They are stories about fairies, princes, princesses, witches, giants, mermaids and other fantasy characters. Hans Christian AndersenDo you remember the stories “The emperors newclothes” and “The ugly duckling”?Andersen wrote the stories. He was a Danishwriter. He wrote a lot of interesting fairy talesand stories. Children around the world enjoyreading his stories.Step 3.More about AndersenHans Christian Andersen was a Danish author.He was born in the town of Odense, Denmark, on 2nd April, 1805. He was an only child.Andersen is best remembered for his fairy tales.His first book of fairy tales was published in 1835. In his lifetime, he wrote more than one hundred and fifty fairy tales, and his stories have been translated into over 100 languages.Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale.Jacob was born in 1785 and Wilhelm was born in 1786. Step 4. Read and learnThe Grimm brothers were story collectors. They gathered and wrote many stories. The stories “Snow White”, “The Frog Prince” and “Sleeping Beauty” are from Grimms Fairy Tales.The crow and the pitcherThe lion and the mouse Fables are short stories with moral lessons.Many fables use animals that act and talk just like people as characters.Aesop was a Greek storyteller.
