What is a hobby?2). What is your hobby?3). Make one or two students talk about their familys hobbies.Step 2 Lead in: Discuss: How many people are there in your family? What hobbies do they have?Step 3 Think about it1. Danny is a dinosaur. Do you know his hobby?2. Come to the vocabulary.(teach the students to read the new words a few more times)Step 4 Listening and reading1. Books closed. Play the audiotape and answer :What is Dannys hobby?2. Books open. Play the tape again and check the answers.3. Students read the text and answer the following questions:a) Is Dannys grandmas letter about herself?b) Why does Dannys grandma call his great great grandpa Grandpa Giant?c) Do people have cows and chickens?d) What is Danny doing?e) What does Danny want to do with his grandma?3. Students read the text again and sum up the main language items: thank you for sth./ doing sth, like doing sth, make sb. do sth,feel proud/ be proud of, get from ,not anymore, make a report for,need to do, Can you help me some more? Will that be okay? Ill write again soon.1. Encourage students to show their difficulties about text and help them.2. Read the text again.3.
