Teaching aids: CAI; the pictures of felling words 六. Teaching processStep1. Warming upSinging a song- Emma hates pink.The teacher takes out the picture of Emma. T: What colour does Emma hate? (Pink.)The pupils listen to the radio, sing the song and dance together.Step2. New content presentation1. Present the feeling words(1)T: You sing great. Now Im happy. Are you happy? (S: Yes./ No.) The teacher takes out the picture of happy. The pupils repeat it. (2) Some pupils make the actions of happy and read the words.(3) Using the same method to present the words: sad/ angry/ tired/ scared.(4)Game: One pupil makes a feeling; othes pupils guess the feeling words.(5) Present the title: So today we learn Unit 6 Feelings. Repeat the title.(6)CAI: The pupils look at the peoples feelings and say out the words together.(7)Doing exercises: The pupils open their books, listen to the radio and fill in the numbers in the blanks; checking the exercises.2. Present the song(1) Present the language: The pupils look at the pictures on the computer. T: Look at picture1. Toby is? (S: Sad.) Then present picture2, 3, 4. (S: Toby is happy/ angry/ tired.)(2) The pupils look at two pictures on the computer. T: Toby is sad. So he cries. The pupils repeat the sentences: He cries. Using the same method to teach: He smiles./ He stamps his feet./ He goes to sleep.(3) The pupils listen to the song; then listen to the song and sing the song.3. ExpansionThe pupils look at the picures about the father/ mother/ friends feelings. T: Boys and girls, please be concerned about your parents and friends feelings and help them.Step3. The pupils can mime to describe the childrens feelings.2. Present the childrens names: Peter; Karen; Sophie; Tom; Nick; David; Sally; Paula. The teacher writes the names on the board and the pupils try to read it out. Press: Sally & Paula.Using the jumped order or little teacher to teach the names.3. Present the exercises:(1) The pupils look at the exercises and listen to the content.(2) They listen to the content and draw the childrens faces.(3) Checking the answer: the pupils tell the answer as: Peter is (happy).4. Present the card game(1) The pupils cut out all the 16 pictures and the teacher explains the rules of the card game.(2) Four pupils play the game together.Step3. Home task1.
