It took us about two hours to get there by bus. There was a lot of traffic on the way and the journey was a little boring. There are models of more than a hundred places of interest from all over the world.教学准备1配套磁带或光盘。2北京世界公园的图片背景知识 北京世界公园总面积46.7公顷,公园按照世界五大洲版图划分景区,以世界上50个国家的119处名胜古迹的微缩景点为主体,荟萃了埃及金字塔、法国埃菲尔铁塔、巴黎圣母院、美国白宫、国会大厦、林肯纪念堂、悉尼歌剧院等著名建筑,以及意大利式、日本式公园等。这些仿照名胜而建的微缩建筑,设计精细,造型逼真。置身世界公园,会让人感觉仿佛真的在周游世界。教学步骤Reading 1Step I呈现1教师就出游计划向学生提问: (1) Where are you going on holiday? (2) Which city are you going to? (3) Why do you want to go there? (4) How do you plan to get there?鼓励学生发表自己的观点,同时复习前一课时所学内容。2教师向学生介绍自己的计划:Id like to go to the World Park in Beijing. There are models of more than a hundred places of interest from all over the world. We can see the Eiffel Tower and the Golden Gate Bridge in the park. They look just like the real ones. So I can travel around the world in a day. What an amazing day it will be! 教师将划线的重点内容呈现在黑板上,并带领学生朗读,确保学生掌握发音和含义。Step II操练l向学生介绍:Linda went to the World Park in Beijing with the Class 1, Grade 8 students. She wrote an email to her parents. Do you want to know what she did and what she saw there? 通过提问激发学生的好奇心和求知欲。2教师向学生提出一个问题:How did Linda feel about the visit to the World Park? 让学生带着这个问题快速阅读,用自己的话描述Linda的总体参观感受,如: (l) She enjoyed herself there. (2) The journey was a little boring. (3) She couldnt believe her eves. (4) It was an amazing day.3学生在阅读过程中,可以对不理解的生词做好记号,在阅读完毕后提出,教师适当解释。学生完成B1部分的练习。4教师为学生播放录音,要求他们边听边完成B3部分的判断正误练习,并请学生更正含有错误信息的句子。5学生跟着录音齐声朗读全文,讨论以下问题: (l) Where did Linda go? (The World Park in Beijing) (2) Who did she go with? (The Class l, Grade 8 students) (3) How long was the journey? (About two hours) (4) Did she enjoy the journey at the beginning? (No, there was a lot of traffic and it was boring.) (5) How many models are there in the park? (More than a hundred) (6) Which places of interest did they see? (The model Eiffel Towel and the model Golden Gate Bridge) (7) Which part did Linda think was also wonderful? (The song and dance shows) (8) Where can Lindas mother see the photos of the trip? (On the Internet)6教师让学生完成B2部分的练习。Step III活动1教师把学生分成二人小组,同时将信分成三部分,例如:第一部分第一、二两段;第二部分第三、四两段;第三部分第五、六两段。教师给每小组的各个学生安排一个部分,让学生寻找该部分中描述Linda当天感受的形容词、副词或短语,完成表格,可以采取小组竞赛的形式。2教师鼓励学生用表格中的词汇与短语描述Linda当天的感受。小组讨论,合作完成一段话,然后小组派代表在全班同学面前展示。Step IV家庭作业l熟读课文,要求能力较强的学生背诵。2记忆本课时所学的词汇、词组和句型。Reading 2Step I呈现1为学生提供一个表格,让他们回忆课文并填写表格。教师说:Do you remember Lindas trip to the World Park? Can you complete the table about it? 表格如下:PlaceWhat Linda sawon the way(fine warm day, shining sun, clear blue sky, a lot of traffic)in the World Park(models of more than a hundred places of interest from all over the world, the song and dance shows)2为学生提供一篇短文填空,让学生通过填空复习Linda和同学们在世界公园里面的活动内容,以达到复习课文的效果。短文如下:It was line and warm yesterday.
