Teaching Design（教学设计） 8A Module 2 Unit4 More practice( P.61) Culture corner( P.62)Show Class（展示课）Huang Juan(黄娟)Faku（法库）Donghu No. 2 Middle School（东湖二中）2014.5（二零一四年五月） Teaching DesignOxford English 8A Module2 Unit4More practice ( P.61) & Culture corner ( P.62)理论基础义务教育阶段英语课程的总目标是：通过英语学习使学生形成初步的综合语言运用能力，促进心智发展，提高综合人文素养。近年来，中考英语越来越注重对学生综合语言运用能力的考核，中考阅读理解题量逐年增多，知识面逐年拓宽，难度逐年增大。对学生的语篇领悟能力、合理判断能力和逻辑推理能力有了更高的要求，考查的词汇量也在逐年增加。为适应新课标要求，顺应中考英语阅读的发展趋势，并满足学生未来发展的需要，帮助学生提高英语阅读能力在英语教学中显得尤为紧迫。重视牛津英语教材中每一单元的More practice & Culture corner的阅读教学无疑是顺应新课改形势，提高综合语言运用能力的一个首选。一、教材分析牛津初中英语以话题为主线，任务为主导，辅以功能和结构项目，有效培养学生综合运用英语的能力。各单元围绕一个话题展开，内容联系社会生活，贴近学生生活实际，富有时代气息，体现时代精神。围绕话题内容的是一系列的课堂活动和要求学生完成的任务，学生通过体验、实践、参与、合作、交流和探究等方式，学习和使用英语，真正体现以学习者为中心的教学理念。教材将语言知识置于生动的语言情景之中，使枯燥的语言学习成为真实、有趣的实践活动。 本课内容就是牛津英语8A教材中第4单元关于发明创造这一话题的有效拓展和延伸。二、教学目标1、 语言知识: 认读和理解单词giant, ballpoint pen, editor, refill, ink, mess, tip, roll, success和短语right now, make a mess, dry easily, refer to.2、语言技能: 能运用略读，找读等阅读策略理解文章大意和细节。3、学习策略：学会运用网络资源和百科全书等工具查找信息。三、教学重难点教学重点: 培养良好的阅读习惯，掌握阅读技巧。教学难点: 培养学生自主学习与合作交流的能力。四、学生分析八年级的学生已经有了一定的英语基础，已经掌握了一定的阅读技巧。本课内容对于大部分学生不是很难。由于阅读材料生动活泼，贴近学生生活，且适应不同层次和水平的学生学习和欣赏，他们很愿意去读，而且善于发表自己的见解。他们也乐于在阅读的同时增加词汇量，开阔视野，提高阅读水平。但由于学生之间的个体差异，学生在展示课前需做好充分的准备。五、教学方法1、任务型教学法2、分组分层次教学法(“相信学生，利用学生；解放学生，发展学生。”所以我主要采用这两种教学法，把学生分成六个水平一样的学习小组，让他们分组展示教学任务。) 六、教学过程Step 1 Warming-up (3)Daily learning report.(学习英语的最终目的是使用英语。所以我会给他们3分钟让他们说一说他们感兴趣的内容。例如，他们最喜欢的人，他们最喜欢的笑话，自己喜欢的动物或他们最喜欢的句子等。充分利用课前3分钟的英语学习汇报让学生做热身运动,也为下面的新课学习作好了铺垫。)Step 2: 学习More practice ( P61)(利用课件，分组合作展示教学任务，以教促学。我会关注学生的教学展示过程，及时地给予帮助和评价，并适时拓展延伸。)1. 阅读文章第一段，回答： Do you know what the invention is? 2. 运用略读策略略读全文。Skim the article about the inventor of the ballpoint pen, Lszl Br, and tell what each paragraph is about.The ballpoint pen was a great success.
