Unit 4 section B (1a-2a)Teaching aims: 1、Knowledge ObjectsKey vocabulary: radio, clock, tape player, model plane, tape, hatTarget language: Where are the English books? - Theyre under the radio. Wheres the tape? -Its in the tape player.2、Ability ObjectsTo train students listening and speaking skills.3、Moral Objects Keep the room tidy and form a good habit.Teaching key points and difficult points:1. Remember and spell the vocabulary.2. Listen and write down the whole sentences in 1b.Teaching methods:Task-based teaching approach, the cognitive approach, the oral approach. .Teaching aids:Real objects,media,Teaching steps:Step1 Greeting and warming up 1、 Greet and review the three prepositions “on, in, under” by listening to a song named ON, IN, UNDER.2、I ask students to guess where the bag is. 2、 Step2 Presentation 1. Present the new words.T: I have some things in my bag. And you can guess what I have in my bag?Whats this? Ss: Its a clock.T: Yes, its a clock. Read after me. C-L-O-C-K, clock.Ss: C-L-O-C-K, clock.(Then hold up hat, radio, tape, tape player, model plane, teach them in the same way.)2. Ss read the words aloud. Then try to remember the new words.3. Ask students to do 1a in Section B then check the answers with them.Step 3 Challenge your speed (1b)Look at the picture in 1a, some things in the room will come out one by one. If the student knows the name of the thing, stand up quickly to speak out the name. Lets see who is faster and better.Step 4 Listening 1、Do 1c. Tom wants his mother to bring some things to school for him. Listen and circle the things Tom wants from his room. Then check the answers.2、Do 1d. Listen twice. Where are Toms things? (In this part,I tell the students to write down the things first.Then add “are/ is” after the things.At last,they need to write down the places )2.Check the answers T: Where are the English books? Ss: The English books are under the radio.T: Wheres the ruler?Ss: The ruler is on the bed.T: Where is the notebook? Ss: The note book is under the model plane in the bookcase.T: Wheres the tape?Ss: The tape is in the tape player.3. Do 1e. Look at Toms room again, ask and answer 4、Listen and repeat. Then read the dialogue in roles.Step 5 Do 2aWrite down the names of the things as more as possible Then check the answer by asking one student to answerStep 6:Summary1.Emphasis the words and sentences2.Tell students to keep the room tidy and clean Step 7 HomeworkWrite a short passage to describe the room
