During my 3 years in this school, I have learnt some useful courses, such as Basic English, English Listening, Oral English and Computer Skills.(3) 能力(Ability):所掌握的语言、软件、打字技巧等等技能性的信息 Eg: I can speak fluent English, and also very good at English writing. As I am a Cantonese, I can speak both Mandarin and Cantonese very well. And for Computer skills, I can type very fast, and also can use Office, Photoshop well.(4) 工作经验(Work Experience):实习单位、工作职位、工作内容、实习所得 Eg: In the third year in vocational school, I had an intern experience in ABC Company. The dialogue should be about their personal information.二、New lesson: Home and Family1、Warming up (1) Show the students my picture in my Graduation Ceremony. There are my father, my mother, my brother, my sister and I in the pictures. Through this way, to raise their interest. (2) Now you have known my family. So would you tell me about your family? Today our lesson will focus on Home and Family. 2、Explain the words which may be new to the students. Let them read after the teacher. Eg: apartment; appointment; congratulations etc Teaching them how to read is the most important!3、Listen to Dialogue 5 and Dialogue 6 from P20 to P21 (1) First time, let the students just listen to the dialogue (2) Second time, let the students read after the tape sentence by sentence After learning the dialogue, they should know how to introduce their family to other people. They can show others a picture of their family, and then tell them their relationship, their job etc. 4、Let the students listen to the song of West LifeSeasons in the sun The students listen to the song for twice. Then write the the following lyrics on the blackboard, and teach them to sing the song. (2) Will you be nervous if you are in an interview? 2、Explain the words which may be new to the students. Let them read after the teacher. Eg: prepare, challenging, traditional, thoughtful etc 3、Listen to Dialogue 5 and Dialogue 6 from P40 to P41 (1) First time, let the students just listen to the dialogue (2) Second time, let the students read after the tape sentence bysentence After learning the dialogue, they should know how to respond the interviewer if they were in an interview. And also, they should understand the dialogue. 4、Let the students listen to the reading passages from P43 to P46 Choose Passage 3 to explain to the students. Passage 3 tells us a story about Davids interview. He is very nervous. Translate the passage for the students. 大卫上个月大学毕业。他到一家公司面试。因为之前没有任何工作经验,所以大卫很紧张。 在面试之前,大卫对自己说:“不要紧张。没什么大不了的!”但当他走进面试室看到5位在此公司工作的严肃的经理后,他还是紧张得站都站不稳。大卫再一次在心里对自己说:“不要紧张!不要紧张!”这时,一位经理问他:“请问您贵姓呢?”大卫马上回答:“紧张,先生。”所有在场的人都笑了。“嗯,那么,紧张先生,您的专业是?”“我妈妈是一名医生,她的名字叫做”经理们都笑了出来。一位年纪较大的经理说:“年轻人,不要紧张。我问的是你的专业呢!”“很抱歉,先生!这是我第一次面试,请原谅我!我的专业是数学。我希望我能够在贵司得到一份工作!” 面试结束后,大卫走出办公室,他想他很可能得不到这份工作了。但他对自己说:“不要丧气!这是你的第一次,下次你一定会做得更好!”5、下周中段考,告知学生考试范围,让他们提前进行复习。四、Exercise Do the exercise of P49 and P52五、ConclusionKnowing how to show oneself in an interview is very important. It usually decide the result of your interview. If you did well, you get the job; if not, you lose the chance. The dialogue should be about their daily life and work.二、New lesson: Free time activities and holidays1、Warming up Question: What do you do in your spare time? 在假日及闲暇时间里,人们可以做很多活动。闲暇时间里的娱乐休闲大致可以分为以下几大类:电视节目、经典电影、报纸杂志、喂养宠物、网上冲浪、健身运动、户外运动、艺术赏析、欢乐派对、棋牌游戏。在同学们的闲暇时间里,你们一般会做些什么呢?2、Words(1) Let the students listen to 2 dialogues. The dialogues are about Oscar and movie. And the speakers are talking about the reward of Oscar and the newest movie such as 2012. Using the dialogues to raise students interest, as it is about the newest movies which they are interested in; and also introduce them vocabulary about movie. Eg: actor, actress, director etc. 3、As this lesson related to holiday, so introduce the holidays(including the festivals) of western countries to the students. And then compare it with Chinese festival. In this way, let the students know the cultural differences of China and western countries. At the same time, can increase the vocabulary of the students. Eg: Christmas, Halloween, Fathers Day etc. Christmas is on December 25th. It is the birth of Jesus Christ. It is Christmas Eve(就是我们平时所说的平安节) on the night of Dec.24, people are all ready for Christmas. Usually there will be Christmas Tree in Christmas. And people also give presents to each other to celebrate Christmas. 4、Explanation of the text(1) Let the students listen to Dialogue 2(P55-56) and Dialogue 5(P57) of the book. (2) Teach the students to read some words which might be difficult for them in the dialogue, and also explain the words to them. Eg: magazine, 杂志;Digest,消化。(3) Ask the students to read the dialogue sentence by sentence after me. (4) And then explain the language points of the dialogue for the students. Through the 2 dialogue, the students can understand this unit deeper. For example, they will know that hobby, such as collecting stamps, can be free time activities.四、Exercise Ask the students to read the passage on P60, and then answer the questions after the text.五、ConclusionThis unit is about peoples free time and holiday. One student from Group 1 read out one word learnt in last lesson, and another student from Group 2 read out another word, and the first letter of the second word must be the last letter of the first word. And then turn to Group 1 again. 二、New lesson: Transport1、Warming up Nowadays, transportation is very important in our life, especially in the large cities such as Guangzhou. Only walking on our foot can not take us far. In order to go to different places, we need to use different transportation ways. Questions: (1) What kind of vehicle do you usually use? (2) What other vehicles do you know? Eg: bus, car(Auto), railway, subway, bike, motorbike, plain.2、Words and expressions(1) As we are talking about transportation, knowing how to say some places in English is necessary. So introduce some new words to the students. Eg: Museum博物馆 Park公园 Store商场 Shopping mall购物大厦 (2) 当表示交通方式时,经常用介词短语 Eg: on foot, by bus, by car, by bike (3) 上下车表达法: get on the bus, get off the bus get in the car, get out of the car 3、Dialogues and passages Dialogue 1: 这段对话时关于问路的。 (1) Let the students listen to this dialogue (2) Read the dialogue after me sentence by sentence (3) Ask students to translate this dialogue. (4) Explain some difficult language point of the dialogue to the students Passage 2: 这是一篇关于Traffic Jam的短文,着重于阅读理解。(1) give students 2 minutes to read the passage.(2) ask them to answer the questions after the passage. 4、Grammar:一般过去时 一般过去时表示:(1)在确定的过去时间里所发生的动作或存在的状态。 (2)在过去一段时间内,经常性或习惯性的动作。一般过去时由动词的过去式表示。常用的时间状语有:yesterday, last week, an hour ago, the other day, in 2006等。在否定句和疑问句中,需要用到助词did. 四、Exercise Do the exercise of grammar from P 83 to P 84.五、ConclusionIn this unit, we learn about transportation. We have learnt some words to transportation tools, and also some words of public places. Eg: UK-United Kingdom英国(It includes Britain and Northern Ireland. And Britain includes England, Scotland and Wales.) India, Canada, America, Australia (2) 日常生活当中常用的一些表示地点的词汇: Restaurant, police station, bus stop, etc The difference of station and stop(3) The new words and expressions after the dialogues Eg: wallet, credit, corner etc. 3、Dialogues and passages Eg: Dialogue 1: This dialogue is about finding a wallet. Bill lost his wallet and is now looking for the police station. (1) Let the students listen to this dialogue (2) Read the dialogue after me sentence by sentence (3) Explain some difficult language point of the dialogue Eg: How do I get to the police station from here? 句型:how do sb. get to sp. / how to get to sp. Passage 1: This is a passage about China. It introduces us how large China is, how long history it has etc. (1) give students 2 minutes to read the passage. (2) ask them to answer the questions after the passage. 四、ExerciseLet the students practice Dialogue 1 and Dialogue 2, and then ask them to act it out on the stage.Ask two students to read aloud Passage 1. And then ask other students to tell the class what else they know about China.五、ConclusionIn this unit, we learn about Places复习思考题: What other places do you go in your daily life?
