课题:Seeing the doctor教师: 学校:学生:单元/课时学习内容分析教学内容:本课是依托外研版八年级(下) 第4模块Seeing the doctor的话题所设计的。本单元的话题为看医生。本课为听说课,教学内容为医生在给病人看病时的对话。由于教材中Unit 1的对话信息量较小,无法满足学生的需求,因此教师在设计本课时选取了内容与课本对话相似但信息量更为丰富的对话。课时安排:1课时。 学生基本情况简介本课的授课对象为初二数学实验班学生,共39人,对英语学习和对与实际生活中联系紧密的话题具有较浓厚的学习兴趣,大部分学生能具有良好的学习习惯,能够积极参与课堂。在语言能力方面,已经具备了一定的与本话题相关的词汇量。在听力理解方面,已经具备在教师的引领下听懂所选的对话大意,获取其主要信息的能力。在口语表达方面,具备能够利用课上所学内容来编相似话题的简单对话的能力。 教学目标By the end of this lesson, students will be able to 1. understand the dialogue between the doctor and the patient2. know some words and expressions to describe symptoms of common illnesses 3. understand some instructions and suggestions of the doctor 教学重点和难点教学重点:描述常见疾病病症的相关词汇以及医患对话中的句型教学难点:描述常见疾病病症的相关词汇以及医患对话中的句型教学过程Stage 1: Lead-in步骤时间教学活动设计意图step 11T asks Ss to guess one word (ill) with the help of three pictures.To introduce the topic of the lesson and raise the Ss interests in learning the lesson.Stage 2: Pre-listening步骤时间教学活动设计意图step 113T teaches some new words using pictures.To prepare Ss for listening and pre-teach some new wordsStage 3: While-listening步骤时间教学活动设计意图Step 12T asks Ss to listen to the first part of the dialogue and circle the keys words to answer the questions about the symptoms of the patient. Now its stuffed up, and I start to cough.D: Let me have a look at your throat. Please open your mouth and say “Aah”.S: “Aah”.D: Thank you. That will do. Your throat is inflamed. Now, let me take your temperature. Put this thermometer under your armpit and let me feel your pulse. Let me check your lungs and heart. Would you please unbutton your jacket? Thank you. Breathe in and out. Turn around please.S: Is it OK? Do I need an X-ray?D: No, that wont be necessary. Id like to have your blood count though. Take this slip to the laboratory, please.S: Here is the laboratory report. D: Thank you. Your blood count is normal. Its nothing serious, just a bit of bronchitis. Ill prescribe three days complete rest.S: Doctor, Im going to a guided tour tomorrow. I cant miss it.D: Thats out of question, Im afraid. You are in no condition to be outside. You must stay in bed.S: I will. Doctors orders.D: I will give you an injection to bring down the temperature. Would you like to try some Chinese medicine?S: OK.D: Take the pills twice a day. O
