Lead in 1. 大屏幕展示几组照片,引导学生们来描述他们的长相特点并进行对比。T: What does he/she look like?S1: 2. 再展示几组照片,引导学生们来描述他们的性格T: What is he/she like?S1: Step2. Words presentation1. Look at the chart in 1a, then discuss with your group mates. Try to fill in the chart with words to describe people. Appearance Personalitytallstraight hairoutgoingfunny 2. Let some Ss say their answers. Let other Ss add more. Presentation 1、 Show a video . Some people are different in the past and now.Then show some different pictures of some famous people. Talk about their differences. 2、 Show some pictures and talk their differences in the past and now.3、 Describe themselves 4、Explain the use of “used to do/be ” to the Ss. Step4. Listening 1. T: Bob hasnt seen some of his friends for four years. Now hes seeing his friends. What did his friends use to like? Listen and fill in the blanks. 1) Mario used to be _. He used to wear _.2) Amy used to be _. She used to have _ hair.3) Tina used to have _ and _ hair. Keys: short glassestall shortred curly2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen. 3. Ss listen and try to fill in the blanks with the right words. 4. Play the recording again. Let Ss check their answers. 5、Explain the use of “used to do/be used to do sth/be used to doing sth”by showing a video.6.ExercisesStep5. Pair work 1. I used to be afraid of the dark. used to do sth. 过去常常做某事表示过去经常性或习惯性的动作或状态,暗指现在已经不存了,强调过去与现在的对比。used to的否定形式有两种:didnt use to或usednt to。 A)主语did not use to 动词原形.He did not use to swim in this river, but he swims here now.B)主语used not to 动词原形.used to用于疑问句时,可借助助动词did,也可以将used提到主语前。A)Did主语 use to 动词原形.e.g. She used to smoke a lot. Did she use to smoke a lot?B)Used 主语 to 动词原形. Used she to smoke a lot?Used to 的反意疑问句 主语+used to do sth, didnt +主语? usednt+主语?He used to watch a lot of TV, didnt he? usednt he?句型转换练习1.
