Teaching ObjectivesAccording to the teaching material and the new curriculum of English, in order to fulfill the learning task of this lesson, I establish the following objectives:A. Knowledge objectivesBy the end of the lesson, Ss will have a better understanding of the objective clause.Then Ss will grasp the usage of 3 introductory words: that、 if、whether, the tense and word order, etc.B. Ability objectivesEnable students to identify what is the objective clause and learn to use differentkinds of introductory wordsC. Affection objectivesDevelop students interest of learning grammar.DMoral ObjectTo help the students form the habit of independent learning and become willing to cooperate with the members in the group activity.II. Teaching important pointsExplain the three important aspects of the objective clause: the introductory words, tense and sentence order. Besides, explain the usage of 3 introductory words:that, if, whether.III.Teaching difficult pointsHow to choose the introductory words correctly and appropriately in the object clause .IV. Teaching methodsCombine the inductive method with the deductive method.Ask and answer questions to get the students familiar with the general structure of the sentences with an object clause.Presentation and practice to make the students familiar with the detailed information.Doing exercises to review what has been taught.V. Teaching aidscomputer and chalksVI. Teaching proceduresStep 1 Free talk and Lead-inPlay a video to the students. Start a free talk with them to share something about what their mothers has done for them .Use the following series of questions to introduce the subject todaythe Object Clause.Can you tell me what your mother tells you ?Can you tell me what your mother teaches you ?My mother tells me what love is My mother teaches me how I can be a better person Ask Ss to tell the differences of two sentences.We know him We know he likes English. Then give students several sentences and ask them to find out the object sentence .1.Our teacher told us that the earth goes around the sun.2.Please tell me where she has gone.3.I dont know if he will come tonight.4.Lets find out whats on tonight . 5.We know that Beijing is one of the biggest cities in the world .Step 2 Presentation一、不同引导词引导的宾语从句Present the pictures of the sentences with an object clause . 1.Halloween is a fun festival. The girl says _.2. Its so hot. He says _.3.Does she like rings? I wonder_.4.What does she like ? I wonder_.(1)、由从属连词that引导的宾语从句。注:陈述句用that引导。 that只有语法作用,没有实在的意义,在口语和非正式文体中可以省略。例如:e.g. I hear (that) _. (一小时后他会回来)(2)、由从属连词whether, if 引导的宾语从句。If和whether在句中的意思是“是否”。例如:老师问我们是否准备好了期末考试。The teacher asked us we_ are ready for the final exam.eg”1. Ask him _ he can come. (他是否能来)2. I dont know _ it is going to rain or not.(是否要下雨) 结论:当句末 (3)、由连接代词what, whom, whose, which, what及连接副词 when, where, how, why引导的宾语从句。例如:1.Can you tell me _ he is.(他在哪儿)2.Could you tell me _ I can get to the station. (我该怎么去车站) 3. Please tell me we will have a meeting.(我们什么时候开会)Exercise 二、宾语从句的语序宾语从句的语序应为陈述句的语序。主句+引导词+主语+谓语+其他be动词、情态动词及助动词(包have/has)放到从句主语之后;助动词do /does/ did 应删去, 谓语动词根据实际情况而变。例如:Who is Jim waiting for ? I know .Can Lily carry the basket ? I know Where did Anna go yesterday? I know What is in the box? ? I know who is over there? Can you tell me Exercise 三、时态归纳:1.当主句是一般现在时,宾语从句的时态不作限制,我们可以根据句子的需要使用任何一种时态。(需要性原则)I hear (that)Jim ( be ) a worker two years ago.Jim ( be ) an English teacher now . Jim ( cook ) dinner tomorrow .Jim ( sing )a popular song now.Jim ( be ) to the Great Wall twice .Jim ( play ) basketball when his father came back. Jim ( learn )1000 Chinese words by the end of last semester. 2.当主句是一般过去时的时候,宾语从句必须运用相应的过去的某一种时态,从而达到主句和从句的相互一致。(呼应性原则)1) He will go to Hong Kong . 2) He is sick.3) He is reading a book . He said 4) He has finished his work. 注意:当宾语从句说明的是客观事实或者是客观真理时,不受主句时态的限制,仍是用一般现在时态。(特殊性原则)He told me (that) summer is after spring . The teacher said (that) the sun is much bigger than the moon.Exercise四:某些由特殊疑问词引导的宾语从句可转化为疑问词+动词不定式 I dont know where I should go. I dont know where to go Tell me how I can do it.Tell me how to do it. Exercise Step 4 ConsolidationAsk students to do some exercises to consolidate what they have learned today. Exercise Step 5 SummarizeSummarize what they have learned today.宾语从句三件事,时态语序引导词;主从时态要一致,陈述语序才合适;一般问句做从句,if/whether别忘记;特殊问句做从句,特殊问词莫漏掉。Step 6 Homework Students are required to review the learned lesson and finish the rest exercise on theirtextbook.VII.
