Teaching plan for the Object Clause I. Teaching aims:(1) Make the students grasp the usage of the Object Clause.(2) Enable them to use the Object Clause in spoken English.II. Teaching important and difficult points:(1) How to choose conjunctions for object clauses.(2)How to choose tenses.(3) How to arrange the order of the words in the clauses.III. Teaching methods:1、Ask and answer questions to get the students familiar with the general 2、 structure of the sentences with an object clause.3、Presentation and practice to make the students familiar with the detailed information.4、Doing exercises to review what has been taught.IV. Teaching procedures:Step 1 Free talk and Lead-in1、Start a free talk with them to know something about some peoples pictures.2、 Use the following series of questions to introduce the subject todaythe Object Clause.Step 2 Presentation1、Present the main structure of the sentences with an object clause, that is,main sentence + conjunction +clause. Tell the students that words like say, tell, know, hope, believe, etc. are often used in the main sentence as the Predicate. Besides, an object clause can also be used after an adjective such as glad, afraid, happy, sure, etc.(1) When the main sentence is in the Present Indefinite Tense or the Future Indefinite Tense, give the students some simple sentences and show them how to change them into clauses. Have the students make more sentences in the same way.1) Change Declarative Sentences into object clauses: Get the students to pay special attention to the conjunction “that”. Tell them usually they can be omitted.2) Change General Questions into object clauses:Get the students to pay special attention to the conjunctions “whether” and “if” as well as the rearrangement of the words in the clauses. Tell them “whether” and “if” cant be omitted.3) Change Special Questions into object clauses: Make the students understand the conjunctions here are the original interrogative words. The clauses need to use the declarative word order.(2) When the main sentence is in the Past Indefinite Tense, the tense in the clauses needs to be changed into the corresponding past tense. Show them some examples. Have the students make more sentences in the same way.Step 4 SummaryAt last, the teacher ask the students to sum up the O
