Master the key words and phrases in this unit : tiny、cry、field、badly、awful、regret、community、talk back、make ones own decision2. Review the target language through the poem : the usage of be (not) allowed to. Students can use it to talk about something about family rules or school rules, and at the same time, students can use his sentence structure to write a composition correctly. 3. To learn and appreciate the poem : Mom Knows Best. 二、学情分析学生在单元学习的过程中语法知识难度会逐步增加,本册课本从第五单元就开始学习被动语态的相关用法,本单元是在被动语态的基本构成之上稍作变动的一种被动语态的特殊用法-“ sbbe (not) allowed to do sth,某人被允许或不被允许做某事。由于知识难度加深,有些学生对被动语态的用法掌握的还不是很到位,这就要求在学习新知识点的同时复习之前学过的一般现在时的被动语态和一般过去时的被动语态,从而更好地掌握本单元的目标语言。本节课重点学习诗歌Mom Knows Best,其中有很多be (not) allowed to 的相关用法。通过本节课的学习学生们将要学会运用其进行关于家规、校规等话题的讨论和写作。三、重点难点Teaching Key Points:1.掌握诗歌中出现的新词和短语的用法。2.学会运用be (not) allowed to 谈论日常生活中允许或不被允许做的事情。Teaching Difficult Point:Use the target language be (not) allowed to write a composition about your family rules or school rules.四、教学过程Step1. Lead-in1. Recite the words and phrases in unit7 and review the sentence structure “be (not) allowed to”2. Let Ss talk about their moms, and then write down the title on the blackboard and ask: What does the title mean? Do you agree with it?Step2. Presentation1. Work on 3a. Analyze the structure of the poem and ask Ss to predict the main content. Ask the following questions:(1). What kind of text are we going to read?(2). What do you think the poem is about?(3). Do you remember what your mother did when you were a baby?(4). Do you agree with your mother or talk back to her?(5). Do you regret anything you did to your parents?2. Read the poem and think about the following questions:(1). Who do you think write the poem?(2). Why did he write the poem?3. Read the poem again and answer the questions: (1). What did the mother do when the writer was a baby and a small child? (2). Why do you think the writer talked back to his mom when he was seven and nine years old? (3). How did the writer feel when he was a teenager and his mom said” please be back by ten”? (4). After reading the whole poem, how do you think the writer feels about his mom?4. Work on 3c.Think about a time you did something even though your mom or dad told you not to do it, share your story with your partner. (1). How old were you at that time? (2).
