Teaching aims:1.Language Skills: (1) Master the new or important words and phrases, such as , advantage, litter, bottom, fisherman, be harmful to(2). Remember the target language. We are trying to save the earth. The air is badly polluted. The river used to be so clear2. Ability Skills: Can use present continuous tense, present prefect tense, modal verbs and so on.3. Emotional Skills: (1)Know the importance of protecting the environment and pay more attention to the environment.(2) How to do it in our daily life.III. Teaching Contents: 1. Teaching new words.2. Talking about the pollutions in our daily life.3. How to protect our environment.4. Do some listening. 5. Make conversations with you partners.IV. Teaching Focus and Difficulties:1. Can use present continuous tense, present prefect tense, modal verbs and so on.2. Come up with some measures about environmental protection. V. Teaching Methods: talking, listening, discussion VI. Teaching Aids: computer, radio, blackboard and so on. VII. Teaching Process: Step1.Presentation: Show the picture of the earth and tell the students the earth was polluted now. For example: 1. The factories that burn coal pollute the air with a lot of black smoke. 2. Factories put waste into the river. 3. People should throw litters into the bins.4. There are more cars in the roadStep 2. Learning:1. Here are some words related to different kinds of pollution, write them I the box below. Then add more words. Show the pictures which in the textbook on the PPT.2. Discuss those problems in group. Then ask some students write the keywords on the blackboard.3. Check answers and find the ways to solve these problems.Step 3 ListeningStep 4. Practice ( make conversation with your classmates then act it)Step5. Language points: 1. try to do sth = try ones best to do sth 尽某人最大的努力做某事 try doing sth 尝试做某事,不一定尽全力Eg I will try my best to learn English.2. used to do sth 过去常常做某事 be used to doing sth 习惯于做某事 be used to do sth 被用来做某事Eg. She used to go to school on foot but now she is used to taking bus.3. 区别cost, spend, take, pay物+cost +; 人+spend 时间/金钱 (in) doing sth或 spend时间/金钱 on sth; It takes/took sb 时间 to do sth; 人+pay (for) 金钱Eg. It takes me two hours to go to school.4. 提建议句型:(1) what/how about doing sth? (2) why dont you do sth?= why not do sth?Eg. What about going shopping this evening? Sound great!5. be bad/good for, be harmful to的使用Eg. Eating to much junk food is harmful to our health.VIII. Exercises:用所给词的适当形式填空:1.We are trying our best_(save) the earth.2. They are used _ (read)in the classroom.3. Watching to much TV is _(harm) to our eyes.4. Why not _(go) fishing with us?5. My father spend 100yuan in _ (buy) this cloth.IX. Reflection In this part, there are many important words ,phrases and structures for students they even cant read or remember. So they should pay more attention to them.
