Unit 6 When was it invented?(Section A 3a-3c)府谷县新民初级中学 王艳芳一、教材依据本课时是人教版新目标九年级英语第六单元第三课时。本单元的重点学习内容是一般过去时态的被动语态,是本书中一个比较重要的内容,对于学生来说也是一个难点和重点。另外,我们还通过介绍一些熟悉的、经常使用的发明物来开阔眼界,丰富学生的阅历,使学生养成勤于思考,善于总结的好习惯。二、设计思路本节课我将始终引导学生通过完成具体的任务活动来学习语言,让学生为了特定的学习目的去实施特定的语言行动,通过完成特定的交际任务来获得和积累相应的学习经验,让学生在用中学,在学中用。三、教学目标1. Knowledge Objects(1)Key Vocabulary: by accident, ruler, boil, remain, smell, saint, national, take place, doubt, without doubt(2)Structure: Passive voice of the past tense.2、Ability Objects(1)Be able to master and use the key vocabulary.(2)Learn and master how to talk about the history of inventions.(3)Learn to grasp and use the passive voice of the past tense.3、Moral ObjectsLearn about the history about the invention of tea. Keep trying out your new ideas and maybe some new inventions will be invented by you.四、教学重点1、Learn and master how to talk about the history of inventions using the passive voice of the past tense.2、To grasp and use the passive voice of the past tense.五、教学难点1、Learn and master the passive voice of the past tense.2、Practice talking about the history of inventions using the passive voice.六、教学准备教师准备本课时教材中所涉及的发明的实物、图片或教学幻灯片;以及其他巩固练习的幻灯片、多媒体等。七、教学过程Step 1 RevisionAsk students some questions.Step 2 Lead-inTalk about tea using some pictures.Step 3 New wordsTeach the new words and ask students to repeat.Step 4 Reading1、Work on 3a:(1)Tell Ss to read the article quickly and match each paragraph with its main idea. (2)Ask some students to report their answers.Para. 1 How tea was invented by accidentPara. 2 Lu Yu and his book Cha JingPara. 3 How tea spread to other countries2、Work on 3b:(1)Have students read the questions.(2)Ask students to scan the passage and discuss the questions in groups of three or four.(3)Check the answers. It was first drunk nearly 5, 000 years ago.One day Shen Nongone of the worlds favorite drinks was invented. Lu Yu. Its about how tea plants were grown and used to make tea. It is believed that tea was brought to Korea and Japan during the 6th and 7th centuries.
