Present the new words and phrases in a simple story which is related to the reading passage. Use the context to guess the meaning of the new words and phrases.Xiaosong is a stay-at-home child. His parents are working in the city, so he seldom meets them. He lives in a boarding school. He works very hard and he is never absent from classes. His parents are always proud of him. One day, he fails the examination. He is so sad that he wants to tell his parents the bad news in person. But he cant. 2. Students play a game to practice the new words and phrases.Step 4 Pre-reading (predicting)Look at the picture and the title of the passage and guess what big problem Li Wen used to have.
