Revise the sentence pattern What are you going to do?b. Pupils make dialogues in their own groups.II. Teach PB Aa. Enlarge the notice on page 25 about the school outing. Bring a picture of a beach, a bag and the items shown on page 25.b. Point to, or give out copies of the notice about the school outing. Show the pupils the picture of a beach. Tell the pupils that Tim is going to the beach with his class. Show them the bag. Teach them the names of the things in the bag by pulling them out one by one and writing the words on the board.c. Ask the pupils to recall the names of the things as the teacher puts each one back in the bag.d. Give the bag to a pupil. Ask the pupil Do you have your? Encourage the pupils answer Yes, I do. Its/Theyre in my bag.e. Play the Pupils Book Cassette and point to the speech bubbles. Ask the pupils to repeat after the cassette.III. Ex.a. (Books open.) Read the conversation between Tim and his mother. Ask the pupils to repeat the conversation after the teacher.b. Tell the pupils to work in pairs and to continue the conversation about the other things in Tims bag. Ask them to exchange roles.c. Do WB. Ex. (P. 19)IV. Summing-up and for homeworka. Get pupils to answer the questions.II. Teach PB B1, B2 and B3a. Bring the objects for the class picnic and put them in the bag. Make sure there are two of some objects, e.g. lunchboxes, cameras.b. (Books closed.) Choose a pupil to come to the front. Tell the class they two are twins. Show the class the bag, saying. This is our bag. Take the objects out of the bag, saying This is our map. This is our camera, etc.c. Then ask the pupils, Whose bag is this? Encourage them to answer Its your bag. Reply saying Yes, its our bag, pointing to teacher self and the other pupil. Repeat the question and answer process by asking about each object as the teacher puts it back into the bag.d. Take the objects out of the bag again. Put one in front of different pairs of pupils saying e.g. This is for you two. Its your map. Encourage the pupils to respond Yes, its our map.e. Then pick up an object from a pairs desk and ask a different pupil (Name), whose game is this? When the pupil answers with the names of the two pupils in the pair, reformulate the answer by saying, Yes, its their game.f. Repeat the process with a pair of objects, e.g. two cameras or two maps. Ask Are these your cameras? Encourage the pupils to reply Yes, theyre our cameras. Then ask Whose Cameras are these? and respond with Theyre their cameras.g. Remind the pupils that the plural form of this is these.h. (Books closed.) Pick up some objects from the pupils desks such as books, pens or pencils. Collect the objects on the teachers desk in separate piles. Then try to remember who to return them to by holding the objects and asking Are these your? Encourage the pupils to reply Yes, theyre our or No, theyre their and to point to the owners.i. Ask the pupils to come out to the front and try to remember the owners of the objects. The pupil at the front asks who they think the owners are, and the pupils being asked must reply.j. Show the pupils the choice of words in the sentences in the sentences on the page. Ask them to circle one.k. Play the Pupils Book Cassette for the pupils to see if their guesses are correct. Play it again so that the pupils can check their own answers.III. Ex. a. Do WB. Ex. Point to the characters in the pictures and read their speech bubbles and the captions aloud. Ask the pupils to point to the speech bubbles as the teacher reads them.b. Play the Pupils Book Cassette for the pupils and ask them to say the sentences after the cassette.c. Tell the pupils to cover picture 4. Ask the pupils a prediction question at the end of picture 3, Where do Mary and Paul think Bob is? (In the sea.)d. Ask the pupils to read the story again. Show them where to write their answers.e. Check the answers with the pupils.III. Ex.a. Pupils role-play the story.b. Do WB. Ex. (P. 22) Ask the pupils to look at the pictures and listen to the Workbook Cassette. Play the Pupils Book Cassette and ask the pupils to listen to the sound and the words.b. Say the words slowly and clearly. Check that the pupils are saying the sound correctly.c. Point to the pictures and check that the pupils can say the words without the teachers model.d. Play the Pupils Book Cassette again. Ask the pupils to listen to the poem.e. Tell them to circle the same letters with the same sound. Get the pupils to repeat the poem.f. Ask the pupils to work in pairs and turn to page 79. Tell them that they have to decide what to bring with them on a school trip. They should colour four items and cut them out. g. Put the pairs into groups of eight. Tell pairs 1 and 2 to show and describe the items on the cards they have cut out from page 79 to pairs 3 and 4. Remind pairs 3 and 4 to remember what pairs 1 and 2 have shown them.h. Tell pairs 1 and 2 to put their cards into a bag.i. The pupils in pairs 3 and 4 take turns to pick cards from the bag. They must try to remember whose cards they are and ask the correct pair Is this/Are these your? The pair must reply Yes, its/theyre our or No, its/theyre their and point to the other pair. If pairs 3 and 4 guess the owners correctly, they get one point.j. Repeat with the pairs switching roles.III. Ex.a. Do WB. Ex. (P. 22) Ask the pupils to look at the top of the page and listen to the Workbook Cassette. They need to circle the words with the same sound and the same letters according to what they hear on the tape. Ask the pupils to look at the bottom of the page. Tell them to look at the pictures and fill in the blanks.b. Do WB. Ex. (P. 23) Ask the pupils to look at the picture and read the sentences.
