Unit11 Sad movies make me cry. 江西省吉安市永新县城南中学王玲琼一、教材分析 本单元的语言功能项目是“能谈论事物对人的影响”(Talk about how things affect you)。 教材通过谈论不同情境下不同的事物对人情绪的影响,要求学生学习与情感有关的词汇,并在该话题下的听说读写训练中掌握make作使役动词的语言结构。活动1a-1c包含了本单元用于表达情感的重点词汇,呈现了本单元的基本语言结构及其使用语境。 1a要求学生观察展示了两家不同环境餐馆的主题图,从而就其给人不同的感受进行讨论。 1b的听力活动需要学生听辨出用于描述事物和表达情感的形容词,同时接触make结构。1c通过提供简短对话示范。要求学生结合主题图和听力内容展开对话。 2a-2c是一组完整的听说练习,旨在训练、发展学生听说能力,同时继续探讨事物对人的情绪产生影响这一话题。 2d示范对话是针对青少年生活中的交友话题而提供的角色练习,训练综合运用语言能力的同时,还为学生实际生活中可能遇到的交友问题给予了一定的启示和帮助。二、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标:单词:friendship 友谊, king 君主, pale 苍白的, queen 王后, examine 检查, nor 也 不, palace 王宫, power 权力, wealth 财富, grey 阴沉的, lemon 柠檬, fame 名声, Prime 首相的句型:The loud music makes me nervous. Soft and quiet music makes me relaxed. Money and fame dont always make people happy. She said that the sad movie made her feel like crying.能够用英语描述事情对自己感情的影响,复习被动语态。2.情感态度价值观目标:了解一些表达感情的词,能正确的表达自己的感情,并培养学生正确处理事情,特别是不好的事情对自己的正面影响。三、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 掌握本课时中出现的生词2) 能够用英语描述自己的情感。3)正确理解make 的用法。2. 教学难点:掌握make的用法四、教学方法1.情景教学法 2.任务型教学法 3.合作学习法 五、教学思路 思路一:本节课的功能与话题部分,与学生生活密切相连,教师可围绕“情感”的话题, 利用学生感兴趣的电影图片导入后,通过pairwork、groupwork、listening、reading、writing等活动,以小组活动、角色表演等形式,让学生反复操练 “make +sb. + infinitive without to; make + sb. + adj.”结构,引导他们能轻松谈论事物对人的影响。 思路二:对本节课的语法教学,可采用任务教学法和情景教学法,通过导学案、小组活动等形式,辅以听力练习。学生以听说活动为基础,展开两人或多人小组问答活动,进一步巩固make的用法。六、教学过程 Section A 1 (1a-2d)I. Amy: But that music makes me sleepy. I want to have the hamburgers at Rockin Restaurant.Tina: Lets go to the Rockin Restaurant. I love their hamburgers.Amy: Those awful pictures on the walls make me uncomfortable, and the loud music makes me nervous.Tina: So where do you want to go, Amy?Amy: Lets go to Blue Ocean. The soft music makes me relaxed.4. 2a. Listen and number the picture (1-4) in the order you hear them.5. Listen again. Complete the statements.1. Waiting for Amy drove Tina_ (crazy).2. Id rather go to the Blue Ocean Restaurant because I like to listen to quiet music while Im eating. would rather do sth.,意为“宁可,宁愿 还是好些”。 e.g. Id rather play tennis than swim. 比起游泳我宁愿去打台球。2. Yes, she was, and waiting for her drove me crazy. drive v. 迫使 drive sb.+adj.,使某人怎样drive sb. crazy/mad 使某人发疯/发狂 e.g. That thing almost drive me crazy. 那件事几乎要使我发狂了。 Youll drive mum mad one of these days. 你这样总有一天会把妈妈急疯了的。 3. What happened? happen 发生,不及物动词, 常见的用法有 (1) “sth.+happen+地点/时间”,“某地/某时发生了某事” e.g. Whats happening outside? 外面发生什么事了?(2) “sth.+happen to+sb.” 意为“某人出了某事(常指不好的事发生在某人身 上)”。e.g. A car accident happened to him yesterday. 昨天他发生了交通事故。(3) “sb.+happen+to do sth.” 意为“某人碰巧做某事”e.g. I happened to meet her in the street. 我碰巧在街上遇见她。4. The more I got to know Julie, the more Ive realized that we have a lot in common. the+比较级+从句 ,the +比较级+从句 “越, 越” e.g. The harder you work, the greater progress you will make. 你越用功,进步就越大。5.
