Unit 11 Sad movies make me cry(第1课时)一、 教材分析本单元以how do things affect you?为话题, 从颜色、天气、音乐、广告、产品等方面谈论了外界事物如何影响人的心情。要求学生掌握表达某物或某事给人带来的感觉、看法或影响等。共设计了四个部分的内容:SectionA该部分有4个模块:第一模块围绕Which restaurant would you liketo go to?这一话题展开思维(1a)、听力(1b)、口语(1c)训练;第二模块围绕How does music affect you? 进行听力(2a-2b)、口语训练(2c);第三模块继续围绕how do colors in the restaurant affect you这一话题展开训练,训练形式为阅读和问题体验(3a)和小组活动(3b);第四模块仍就Howdo things affect you这一话题以调查的形式展开讨论。二、 三维目标1. 语言目标,words and expressions 生词和短语。2. 能力目标,能然学生谈论事情是怎样影响他们的心情。3. 情感目标,能够让学生理解事情对他们产生的影响。三、 教学重点重点单词 1. drive v. 迫使.2.lately adv. 最近,不久前;3.friendship n. 友谊,友情;重点词组 1. make me sleepy使我困倦2.drive sb crazy使发疯3. 越越the more, the more4. yesand no好坏参半好坏参半5. befriends with sb是某人的朋友6. feelleft out感觉被忽视重点句式 1. Id rather go toBlue Ocean because I like to listen to quiet music while Im eating. But that music make me sleepy.2.Waiting for Amy drove Tina crazy.3. A piece of soft music makes us feel relaxed, a loud music maymake us feel boring and an exciting one makes us happy and excited. If you andyour friends are at a restaurant with loud music on, you could hardly hear whatyour friends are saying. How does the music make you feel? Now look at thepicture on Page 102. There are two restaurants in the picture. In one of therestaurants, a loud music is broadcasting; while in the other, we can only finda quiet and comfortable place. Which restaurant do you like? Would you feel thesame as the two girls do in the picture?S1:Idlike to go to the Blue Lagoon because I dont like loud music. It makes meangry. This loud music may drive the guests away.S2:Id like to go to the Blue Lagoon too becauseI like quiet music just like the girl in the picture does. It makes me feel atease.S3:Idlike to go to Rockin Restaurant. I like loud music. It makes me feel excited.Thisloud music makes me want to dance.S4:Idlike to go to Rockin Restaurant too. I think loud music makes me feelenergetic. This loud music makes me feel encouraging.T:So,the things in the restaurant may affect the people eating there. According tosome science study, it is our own feelings that works, but not the thingsaround us affecting us though different things may have different effect uponus.2、Step IIListeningAsk thestudents to listen to Amy and Tina talking about the two restaurants and do theexercises.T:Nextwell hear a dialogue between Amy and Tina. Now listen and find out how themusic in the two restaurants affect them.Play the recording and check the answers.3、 课堂讲授动词make的使役用法,make sb后分别接了形容词和不定式短语。make的这种用法常见于以下结构:make+名词(代词)+省略to的动词不定式Myparents often make me do some other homework. 我父母常让我做些其他的作业。特别提示:这一结构中的不定式短语在主动结构中是宾语补足语,必须省去to,变为被动结构时,不定式短语作主语补足语,这时必须带to。如:She was made to work for the night shift. 她不得不上夜班。make+名词/代词+-ed分词短语。如:What made them so frightened?什么使他们这样害怕?make+名词/代词+介词短语或名词短语。如:She made him her assistant. 她委派他做自己的助手。make+名词(代词)+形容词或形容词短语。如:The good news made us happy. 这条好消息使我们很高兴。- Yes,I suppose so我想他会回来。. make +形式宾语it +形容词或名词(作宾语补足语) +从句(作真正的宾语)如: They want to make it clear tothe public that they do an important and necessary job他们要向公众表明, 他们所做的工作不但重要,而且是必不可少的。【备课例句】What has made China what she is today?是什么让中国变成今天的样子?4、 课堂活动让学生以小组为单位,分角色表演这个故事5、.课堂小结动词make 的用法。八、作业布置Fill inthe blanksLoudmusic may be nice at first, but it soon makes people _ to _.Hardseats also _ customers _ _ eat quickly and leave.Manyrestaurants, _ fast food restaurants, use this _ to _customers _ faster. Loud music makes me uncomfortable.make sb+形容词make sbdo sthhavefun with sth/sbhavefun doing sth十、 教学反思在本节课的教学过程中,面向全体学生,争取让每一个学生都能参与到教学活动中来,得到练习的机会,教学目标圆满完成,大部分学生在这节课后能准确流利的使用所学句型以及单词进行自由会话。基础不是太好的学生在理解上有些困难,从而不能很好的听懂老师的要求,课堂气氛有时不够活跃。 Unit 11 Sad moviesmake me cry(第2课时)一、 教材分析:本课时主要是语法讲解与练习,将动词make的用法;并完成相应的练习4a与4b来巩固所学的语法知识.二、 三维目标:1. 语言目标:能够对所给的句子找出make的具体用法;2. 能力目标:能够运用所学的动词make的各种结构;完成相应的练习题;3. 情感目标:能够让学生理解事情对他们产生的影响。三、教学重点与教学难点make sb infinitive;make sb adjective;四、教学策略本课时主要是一节语法讲解课与随堂练习,根据英语课程标准及英语教学大纲的要求,在本节课的教学过程中,采用“小组合作“以及“任务型”的教学途径,借助多媒体,增强趣味性和直观性,增大课堂容量,提高课堂效率,面向全体同学,帮助学生掌握知识、发展能力、形成正确的价值观。五、教学准备:课件 、多媒体设施、 录音机、学生分组;六、教学环节:一)Review:1.-Id rather go to Blue Oceanbecause I like to listen to quiet music while Imeating. -But that music makes me sleepy.2.Waiting for Amy made Tina crazy.3. They just make him want to leave quickly. 二) Learn the Grammar Focus. 先让同学们自己来读所给的这几个英语句子,然后找出两名同学读给全班同学听;接着老师试着让几个同学说出每个句子中的make的结构. The teacher explain:1. The loud musicmakes me nervous.此句是make sb adj 的结构,即:make +某人+形容词;2. Soft and quiet musicmakes me relax.此句是make sb do 的结构,即:make +某人+动词原形;3. Money and fame dont alwaysmake peoplehappy.此句是make sb adj的结构,即:make +某人+形容词;4. She said that the sad moviemade her cry.此句是make sb do 的结构,即:make +某人+动词原形; 总结:make 的结构为:make + 某人(人称代词的宾格) + 形容词/动词原形;三)完成练习:4aThink of appropriate words for the blanks.Then compare your choices with your partner. For this part, ask the students totry to complete it by themselves. And then ask two students to say her or hisanswers to the whole class, and the other students can give her or his opinionabout the diary. The answers are not only.四)小组活动.(4b) Complete the survey. Then ask two otherstudents.We can use the following words or phrases:happy, want to cry, uncomfortable, angry, nervous, feel likedancing;You can begin like this:A: Whatmakes you angry?B: Whenpeople throw rubbish on the streets, it makes me angry.A: Me,too. It makes me want to tell them to clean up the streets.Ask thestudents to practice the dialogue in his or her group, in order to grasp “makesb adj, make sb do”. Give the students about five minutes, and then ask twogroups to act it out in the front of the class.
