教学设计九年级 Unit5 What are the shirts made of?Section B 2a-2e【课标分析】 新课程标准对中英语阅读的要求 英语阅读是以文章作为语言实体和信息载体,对书面信息进行认知构建的言语过程,也是学生语言输入的重要途径。而新课标对中学英语大纲的要求:“侧重培养学生的阅读理解能力”,为进一步学习和运用英语切实打好基础,其目的就是不仅要学生学会语言知识,获取文章提供的信息,更重要的是培养学生养成独立阅读的能力。现行的英语课程标准在语言技能五级目标中对阅读提出如下要求:1、能根据上下文和构词法推断、理解生词的含义;2、能理解段落中各句子之间的逻辑关系;3、能找出文章中的主题,理解故事的情节,预测故事情节的发展和可能的结局;4、能读懂常见体裁的阅读材料;5、能根据不同的阅读目的运用简单的阅读策略获取信息;6、能利用字典等工具进行学习;7、除教材外,课外阅读量应累计达到15万词以上。由此可见培养学生英语阅读理解能力的必要性和重要性,而科学的教学方法和有效的学习策略是实现这一课程任务的必然途径。【教材分析】 本单元的话题是things made in China,通过介绍传统的中国文化元素,了解与中国传统文化艺术有关的风俗习惯和文化背景,同时引导学生学习被动语态的正确运用。本课时是本单元Section B 第二课时,是本单元的阅读板块,旨在培养学生的阅读能力,同时介绍最具有中国特色的传统艺术如孔明灯、剪纸和泥塑,包括它们的制作工艺、制作原料和象征意义。这篇文章可以拓宽学生的知识面,提升民族自豪感,对学生跨文化交际意识和能力的培养有潜移默化的作用。另外本篇文章还渗透了一个重要的阅读策略,即让学生了解文章结构的特点之一:先总体介绍,后细节描述。2a的读前活动让学生谈论中国传统文化艺术;2b活动要求学生先快速寻读,完成表格信息;2c活动指导学生关注文章细节,帮助学生加深对文章的理解;2d活动训练文章中出现的重要短语;2e活动是开放性的读后讨论。【学情分析】 九年级学生已经有一定的英语语言基础,多数学生对英语学习有较强的自信心,有较明确的英语学习动机和积极主动的学习态度.在阅读方面,多数学生能够读懂简单读物和报刊、杂志,能在阅读中克服部分生词障碍,理解大意,能根据阅读目的运用适当的阅读策略,具有一定的阅读能力,初步形成个性化的特征和特长,教师需要根据学生需要及时对学生进行引导,深化学生阅读和思考能力。但也有部分学生由于缺乏良好的学习习惯及端正的学习态度,英语基础薄弱,缺乏相应的阅读能力,阅读速度缓慢,需要教师多加强指导和帮助。【教学目标】A: Knowledge objects1、通过阅读文章,进一步感知、理解含有被动语态的句子。(1)Sky lanterns are made of bamboo and covered with paper.(2)Paper cutting has been around for over 1,500 years.(3)They are seen as bright symbols of happiness and good wishes.(4)The pieces are carefully shaped by hand from a very kind of clay and then allowed to air-dry.2、在语境中理解、运用以下词汇:its,form,clay,celebration,balloon,scissors,lively,heat,polish,complete3、掌握并能正确使用本课时的重点短语: Turn into send out cover with rise into havehas been aroundB: Ability objects1、了解文章结构的特点之一:先总体介绍,后细节描述。2、在阅读训练中,提高寻找主题句和搜索细节信息的能力.C: Emotional attitude and value认识到中国传统艺术品的精美及象征意义,感叹中国人所具有的聪明才智,培养爱国主义情怀。【教学重点难点】重点:学习文章结构的特点之一:先总体介绍,后细节描述。难点:运用不同阅读策略,完成阅读任务,并能在mind-map的帮助下复述所学三个传统艺术形式。能运用所学阅读策略完成限时阅读。【教学方法与手段】T ask -based reading method and mind- map retelling.【教学过程】Step 1:Lead in1.
