I live with. in. I am tall/short/pretty/small. I wear glasses. My hair is long/short.(I have long/ short hair.) I like/ love. I am good at dancing/swimming.Difficult points: Write a profile and introduce themselves, using the expressions correctly.Teaching aids:Multi-mediaTeaching procedures:Step1: Greetings Step2: Revision Play a game: Who is she/he? (Millie, Simon, Sandy, Daniel, Kitty, Amy) (Some students say something about one of the above six characters. The others guess who she/he is.)Step3: Lead-in Tell the students the task: Write a profile about yourself and introduce yourself. Step4: Preparation (A): Ask the students to read the profile of Daniel. (or: Listen to the tape and learn about Daniel.) Qs: How old is Daniel? Is he tall? What is he good at? Does he have new friends at school? (B): Ask the students to find out the useful expressions of self -introduction in the profile of Daniel. (P16) (C): Ask the students to finish the part and then discuss the usage of the expressions in groups. (C): Ask the students to write a profile about themselves. Step6: Presentation (A): Ask the students to introduce themselves in groups. Encourage the students to be confident when they introduce themselves. (B): Invite some volunteers to introduce themselves in front of the class. After the introduction, the other students can ask questions.Step7: Summary Ask the students to summarize the expressions used in the task.
