人教版新目标英语八年级 (下)第5单元第5课时Unit 5 What were you doing when the rainstorm came?Section B 2a2e ReadingBy Ju Hongxia一、【学情分析】本课是一节阅读课。文章讲述了两个过去发生的故事:马丁路德金被谋杀和世贸大厦被袭击。文中大量借助了过去进行时态,对于八年级的孩子们来说,他们刚学习过去进行时态,还无法很好的掌握和运用,仍需要学习和巩固。同时,由于孩子们阅历尚浅,文章中的这两件事情与他们距离太远,他们很少经历过类似的事情,无法切身体会到当时的心境,因此,需要老师渗透文化背景以帮助学生更好的理解文章,引导学生以身边的事情或者新闻为题材,拓宽思路,表达出相关的东西。二、【教材分析】教学目标:知识目标1. 学习并掌握下列单词:passage, pupil, completely, shocked, silence, in silence, take down, terrorist, date, tower, at first, truth 2. 能正确使用以下常用表达:in silence, take down3. 能熟练掌握并使用下列重点句式:1)Dr. Martin Luther King was killed. 2)We were eating dinner in the kitchen when we heard the news on the radio. 3) We finished the rest of our dinner in silence. 4) Most Americans remember what they were doing when World Trade Center in New York was taken down by terrorist.4. 学会过去进行时态的构成和用法。能力目标1.通过阅读训练,学会运用过去进行时态,谈论过去的事情或讲述过去的故事。2.通过文章标题和插图等获取文章的主旨大意,训练学生快速阅读的技巧3.训练学生运用扫读,快速获取相关信息的能力。情感目标通过本课的学习,培养学生崇尚自由民主、热爱和平的意识,进而关注历史,热爱祖国。教学重点正确使用过去进行时态,谈论过去的事情;掌握阅读技巧。教学难点熟练运用过去进行时态,谈论过去的事情;掌握阅读技巧。 教学方法情景教学法;任务型教学法。教学手段多媒体课件、录音机三、【整体设计思路、指导依据及单元教学安排】整体设计思路、指导依据1.这节课的教学活动设计遵循任务型教学的教学理念,让学生在完成任务的过程中来体会和掌握语言,培养学生的阅读技巧,提高能力。2.这节课的整个教学过程围绕“读”这一实践活动,以“练”这条主线贯穿于课文阅读教学中,我始终以学生为主体,教师为指导,有输入,有反馈,由浅入深,尽力体现新目标英语的阶梯型原则。3.整节课的教学设计,我基本按照了教材的编排思路和顺序,也做了一些整合和延伸拓展。1)增加视频和图片材料作为输入的素材,让学生在更真实的气氛中学习。2)为了改变阅读课一般比较沉闷的现状,我把2e改造成复述和游戏竞赛的形式,吸引学生的兴趣,活跃课堂气氛。单元教学安排1. 本单元分为6个课时,每个课时为45分钟。2.课时 教学内容 课型第一课时 P33-34 Section A 1a-2d 听说训练课第二课时 P35 Section A 3a-3c 阅读课第三课时 P36 Section A Grammar Focus-4c 综合应用课第四课时 P37 Section B 1a-1d 听力课第五课时 P38-39 Section B 2a-2e 阅读课第六课时 P40 3a-self-check 写作课四、【教学流程】I. Preparation准备Students:预习单词:Teacher:1. 教师根据构词法知识或简笔画帮助学生识记单词。 2. 多媒体准备相关的视频和图片(设计意图:为阅读做准备,排除障碍。)II. Warming up and Revision热身和复习CCTV News time. T: we can hear lots of news every day. Some are good , and others are bad. What bad news do you know recently in China? Lets watch the news.1. Get two students to report CCTV news about MH370 from Malaysia which disappeared on March 8th, 2014. and Thaad in Korea on February28th, 2017.2. Two students act as reporters and ask students questions “What were you doing when you heard the news.?”Students answer the question using“I was +ving.”(设计意图: 马航失联和萨德事件是最近这两年中国人比较关注的事件,所以人们对他们当时在做什么记忆犹新,利用这个话题提问,既复习刚刚学过的过去进行时态,又为导入新课做下铺垫.)III. Leading-in导入新课T: These events have meanings to Chinese people. So we remember them well. People often remember what they were doing when they heard the news of important event in history. Heres a passage about America. 1. Show a picture of Martin Luther King.T:Do you knowthisman?S1: No.S2: Yes.Martin Luther King.T: Yes, very good. Lets read a short introduction about him.2.Show a picture of World Trade Center.T:Do you know this famousbuilding?S1: No.S2: Yes. Its WTCT: Yes Its WTC, World Trade Center.T:Say something about it.IV. Before-Reading .Presentation of reading Strategies (设计意图: 多媒体展示马丁路德金、世贸大厦的图片,直接导入,快速地把学生引入将学的知识中。出示有关视频和图片进行简单介绍.)读前呈现阅读策略Reading Strategies:1.Reading the title and the First Sentences T: One of the reading skills is to read the title of the passage this helps you understand the text. It is also a good idea to read the first sentence of each paragraph before you read the whole text.3. Reading the Title and the First Sentences. Work on 2a。(设计意图: 读前呈现阅读策略,指导学生阅读技巧。)V. while-Reading读中一、Skimming(略读)T: Read the whole passage quickly 。1. The first reading:Fast reading.快读。Work on 2b(1)What are the two events in the passage?(2)When did they happen?2. Fill in the blanks and check the answers.whatwhendoing(设计意图: 读中,使用之前呈现的阅读技巧。学生开始快速阅读文章,老师可以在课室走动,一边监督学生阅读文章,一边给予相应的指导。尤其是阅读技巧的指导。比如:阅读首句。表格形式浅显明了)二、Careful reading.细读1.The second reading(Work on 2c)Task 1: Read the passage again.
