The answer would be different in different countries.Country Food Special meaning UKBirthday cakeBlowing out the candles in one go makes a wish come trueBirthday cake with a candy It is lucky to find a candy in a cakeChinaLong noodlesLong noodles mean long lifeEggsEggs means life and good luck.七、教学活动评价设计自我评价表你了解了英国和中国的生日食品及其含义了吗？根据猜词法，你猜出单词的含义了吗?你能写出文章的总结句了吗？课堂参与积极性 八、教学反思在整个课堂教学，我认为有几个处理值得反思的地方。首先是在阅读层次的安排比较合理，信息指引也比较明确。在引导学生阅读的时候，第一步，我引导学生由文章题目Birthday food around the world入手，题目即中心,课文内容肯定离不开两个关键：birthday food和举例的国家或地方 。因此，在第一次扫读的过程中应找到相关的国家及生日食品。这样的指示非常明确，方便学生在第一时间明确阅读的内容。第二次阅读找出细节，即各国生日食品的含义。在初步掌握文章大意的基础上，我再让学生进行第三次详细的阅读，找到文章的中心句，即文章的主题。将阅读的信息进行整理，整个篇章的信息吸收提升一个信息整理并理解的层面。在学生完成阅读的任务之后，我将学生整理的信息通过表格的形式展现出来。通过这样的方法，使学生对文章的结构一目了然。学生在提取筛选信息的过程中，大致掌握文章的大意，达到阅读并接收信息的目的。在学生完成阅读的相关任务后，我为了检查阅读的效果及巩固学生对文章里边部分重点表达的掌握，我又设置了一篇以Birthday food in China 的文段，让学生在原有阅读基础上利用篇章里边的词汇进行填充训练。这样的做法有几个好处：第一 所给文段与阅读内容结构一致，学生再次明确文章的篇章布局；第二 通过填空的方式，再次呈现文章的重要表达法，加深对词汇的印象；第三 结合课文的分析，要求学生确定或写出段落的中心句或主题句，可使学生熟悉各种文体并在阅读或写作中抓住主题避免离题、中心思想不突出、组织结构混乱等错误，以掌握基本的写作技巧。而学生通过仿写和改写的形式，给文章加上总结句，降低全篇写作的难度。因为有范文的引导，学生可以小试牛刀，虽然只是一两句话，可学生们也写出了不错的句子，例如： The birthday food in China are different, but all the people hope the birthday person can be l
