In China, its getting popular 2. 情感态度价值观目标:体会学习英语的乐趣,做到“在用中学”“在学中用”。了解世界各地的饮食文化,生日文化等事情,使学生们具有初步的世界文化观念。二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 通过进行听、说的训练,来提高学生们综合运用所学知识的能力。2) 通过读、写的训练,来让学生们能真正在实际活动中运用所学的知识。2. 教学难点 听力训练与阅读训练三、教学过程. Warming- upLets watch a video and learn. Presentation1. (show some pictures of food on the big screen) Present some new words and expressions to the Ss. 2. Ss learn the new words and expressions by themselves and try to remember them. 3. Work on 1a:Read the words in the chart and look at the pictures below. Write the letters of the foods or drinks on the line. Then check the answers. 4. Let Ss try to remember the new words and expressions. . Pair-work 1. Circle the things you like in 1a. Put an next to the things you dont like Then tell you partner what you like and dont like. Sa: I like dumplings, but I dont like noodles. Sb: Well, I like fish but I dont like meat. 2. Work in groups. Talk about what you like and what you dont like. 3. Make a list of things everyone likes and dislikes in your group. Then give a report to your classmates: In our group, Sa likes dumplings but she doesnt like noodles. Sb likes fish but she doesnt like meat. 4. Let some Ss give their report. Listening Work on 1c: 1. Ask Ss to read the ORDER FORM carefully. 2. Play the tape for the Ss to listen and complete the food order form. (Play the recording for the first time, students only listen carefully.Then, listen to the recording again, and write down the names of the foods. )Work on 1d: Listen again. Use the pause button to check the answers with the Ss. . Group work 1. Work in groups. Discuss what do you do or eat on your birthday?2. Ss take turns to talk about it. S1: I usually get many nice gifts from my parents. I usually have a nice dinner in a restaurant. S2: My parents usually buy me some nice books and school things on my birthday. S3: .3. Language points1. fish在此处意为“鱼肉”,是不可数名词。e.g. Fish is delicious and I like it. 鱼肉很美味,我喜欢。 拓展a) fish作“(一条)鱼”讲时,是可数名词,单复数同形;作“(一类)鱼”讲时,是可数名词,其复数形式是fishes。e.g. How many fish do you have? 你有几条鱼?e.g. There are so many fishes in the sea. 大海里有那么多种鱼。b) fish还可以作动词,意为“钓鱼,捕鱼”。固定搭配:go fishing钓鱼。e.g. I want to go fishing this afternoon.今天下午我想去钓鱼。2. around the world是介词短语,意为“世界各地”,相当于all over the world或throughout the world。e.g. Guilin is famous around the world/ all over the world/throughout the world.桂林在全世界都很有名。3. The answer would be different in different countries. 在不同的国家有不同的答案。(1) answer在此处作可数名词,意为“答案,回答”。表示“的答案”时,用“the answer to”。e.g. Please find out the answer to the question.请找出这个问题的答案。 拓展a) answer 作及物动词,意为“回答;应答”。e.g. Can you answer my question? 你能回答我的问题吗?b) answer作不及物动词,意为“回答;答复”。e.g. Why didnt you answer? 你为什么没有回答?(2) different形容词,意为“不同的”,常用于:be different from与不同的。其名词形式为difference,意为“差别;不同点”;副词形式为differently,意为“不同地;有区别地”。e.g. Are you in different grades?你们在不同的年级吗?e.g. Your dress is different from mine.你的裙子和我的不一样。4. The number of candles is the persons age.蜡烛的数量就是这个人的年龄。(1) 辨析:the number of与a number ofa) “the number of+名词复数”表示“的数量”,其后的谓语动词用单数。e.g. The number of students in our school is 2,000.我们学校的学生数量是2000.b) “a number of+复数名词”表示“许多的.”,其后的谓语动词用复数。number前可用large, small, great等修饰。e.g. A number of students are playing games on the playground. 许多学生正在操场上做游戏。(2) age名词,意为“年龄”常用于“”at the age of+数字”,意为“在岁时”。e.g. She can play the piano at the age of three. 她三岁就会弹钢琴。5. The birthday person must make a wish and blow out the candles. 过生日的人必须许愿然后吹灭蜡烛。(1) make a wish为固定短语,意为“许愿”。其中,wish作可数名词,意为“愿望”。其复数形式为wishes.e.g. Close your eyes and make a wish.闭上眼睛许愿。拓展wish还可用作动词,意为“希望;祝愿”。可构成wish to do sth.或wish sb. sth.结构。e.g. She wishes to get good grades. 她希望取得好成绩。e.g. I wish you a happy birthday. 我祝愿你生日快乐。(2) blow out为动副型短语,意为“吹灭”。e.g. The candle is still on. Please blow it out.蜡烛还亮着,请把它吹灭。6. If he or she blows out all the candles in one go, the wish will come true.如果他/她能一口气吹灭所有的蜡烛,愿望就会实现。(1) 本句是由if引导的条件状语从句。if作连词,意为“如果”,表示在某种条件下某事很可能发生。在if引导的条件状语从句中,主句用一般将来时 (will+动词原形),从句用一般现在时表将来。if引导的条件状语从句位置灵活,可置于句首,也可置于句末,当位于句首时,要用逗号和后面的分句隔开。e.g. He will come to see me if he has time. 如果他有时间,他会来看我。(2) in one go意为“一口气;一下子”,相当于at one go。其中,go在此处做可数名词,意为“尝试”。 e.g. He eats up the food on the table in one go.他一口气吃光了桌上的所有食物。7. lucky作形容词,意为“幸运的”。e.g. Six and eight are lucky numbers in China.在中国6和8是幸运数字。 拓展lucky的名词形式是luck,意为“运气”。常见用语有Good luck!(好运!)和Good luck to you .祝你好运。8. get popular意为“变得流行”。其中popular作形容词,意为“受欢迎的,普遍的”,固定搭配:be popular with受欢迎的。e.g. Hip-Hop is getting popular in the United States. 嘻哈音乐在美国很流行。e.g. The famous singer is popular with young people. 这个著名
