I like giraffes.十、教学重难点:1、重点:学习本单元的词汇,用what、why、where引导的特殊疑问句,用because表示原因以及形容词的使用。2、难点:准确使用形容词对自己感兴趣的事物进行描述。十一、课时安排第一课时:完成Section A 1a-2c The First Period (Section A, 1a-2c )I. Teaching aims (教学目标)1. 熟悉动物的名称(单复数形式和读音);2. 熟悉动物的特性(cute, smart, etc.)以及代表的国家3. 谈论自己喜欢的动物并陈述理由;学问他人对动物的喜好以及理由;4. 热爱动物,培养人和动物之间的和谐关系II. MAtch the words with the animal in the picture. tiger,elephant,koala,panda,lion,giraffe 1b. Listen and check the animal you hear in 1a . Step 3. 1c. Conversations about the other animals in 1a. A: Lets see the lions B:Why do you want to see them ? A: Because theyre interesting. Step 4. Work on 2a Julia and John are at the zoo. Listen to their conversation in 2a and write the animals you hear. Then match the animals with the description words.Check the answers. Explain the words “very” and “kind of”.Keys: 1.pandas are kind of interesting from China . 2.Koalas are very cute from Australia. 3.Lions are really scary from South Africa.Step 5. (2b) .Listen again.Complete the conversation with the words in 2a.Let Ss complete the conversation in 2b first.Have Ss get into groups to share their ideas.Listen and check the answers. Where are koalas from?2. Describe a kind of animal and let Ss guess what it is.(He is from South Africa. He likes meat a lot and he is very dangerous. He is the king of the animals.)3. Have Ss ask their classmates about their favorite animals and the reasons why they like them. Ss can use the words from the boxes in 2a and 2b.
