Greeting:T: Class begins. S: Stand up. Good morning teacher.T: Good morning, everyone. Please sit down.This lesson well learn Unit 11 How was your school tip?Well go on talking about the past events. And well lean two diaries about how Helen and Jim spent the weekend. Now can you tell me what you did last weekend?S:I did my homework.I played computer games with my friend.I climbed mountains with my parents.T:Great!Step 2. Warm-up: Pairwork.T: First, Let s do some review. Now look at the pictures.Practice in pairs. Use the dialogue as an example.S:. T: Good! Great! Well done! You did well!Step 3. Lead-in.T: Last weekend ,I went swimming. I think swimming is interesting.But my sister doesnt like swimming, she thinks its boring.I like gifts in that shop. I think theyre beautiful but she doesnt like, she thinks theyre expensive.Then, what do you think of Oh. Different people think about things differently.S:I think its interesting, difficult, exciting.T: Ok. Please memorize these descriptive words.Step 4. Lead-in.Look! These are robots. Now most of them are very smart.Do you like robots? S: Yes. T:I also like robots.Because some can play chess with us; some can help us do housework.Do you know where we can see them?S: Oh, at the science museum. T: Yes.Step 5. Reading:I know Helen and Jim went on a school tip. First-reading: Please read Helens and Jims diaries, then answer the questions. You can find the topic sentence in each diary. The topic sentence is usually at the beginning or in the end. (Read aloud). Second-reading: Very good. Please read again and fill in the blanks in 2c. Ill give you 2 minutes. (Quickly) Task-based reading:Read the diaries carefully and complete the tasks.Step 6. Reading aloud: Listen and follow tape. Give you 2 minutes to read aloud. Then fill in the blanks.Look who did the best.T: You are great! You did well!You are the best!Well done! Very good!Nice going! Good on you!Step 7.language points:T: As we can see, nearly all the verbs are in past forms,in the diaries. In fact, when we keep a diary, we always use the simple past. Can you? (S: Yes.)Ok.
