Read by oneself.3. Read together.Step skimmingExplain the word “skim”. Then ask the students to Skim the two letters and answer the two questions:1. What is Ms. Millers opinion?2. What is Mr. Smiths opinion?After two minutes, ask several students to answer and check the answers.Step scanning 1.According to Ms. Miller and Mr. Smith, what are the pros and cons about kids doing chores? 2.Ask students to pay attention to “cons”and “pros”.Then Give them several minutes to fill in the form. 3.Ask two students to say their answers ,and ask others to add.Step knowledge presentation 1.Read the two letters again and find out the knowledge points , then discuss the usages of them with your group members . 2.Three groups sum up the first letter, and the other three groups sum up the second letter. Then ask two students to show their results. 3.At last, look at the summary of the difficulties on the screen.
