Section B(2a-2e) 教学设计 建平县第一中学 林海杰教学目标:a.知识目标:1.学习并掌握新词汇: stress waste provide depend neighbor drop etc . 2.能正确使用以下表达: a waste of time; in order to ;depend on ;take care of; provide sth. for sb.(=provide sb. with sth.) ;do ones part in doing ;the+比较级.the+比较级. etc. 3.学会使用以下句型:1 ) They dont have time to study and do housework.2) They should spend time on schoolwork in order to get good grades and get into a good university.3) Its the parents job to provide a clean and comfortable environment at home for their children.4) Its not enough to just get good grades at school.5)that everyone should do their part in keeping it clean and tidy.6) The earlier kids learn to be independent, the better it is for their future.b.能力目标:通过阅读训练,培养学生良好的阅读理解能力,同时使学生在理解故事情节的基础上对文章进行进一步的解读,以实现对学生进行有力的情感教育的目的。c.情感目标: 通过本课的学习,学会独立,不能过多依赖父母,知道在学习之余,帮助父母做家务劳动是很重要的。教学重点:重点词汇、常用表达及句型。教学难点:在理解两封信的基础上对文章进行进一步的解读。教学方法:情境教学法;任务型教学法。教学过程:Step Greetings and Warming-up English chant What can you do?Step Leading in Free talk:1. Do you do chores at home?2. Do you think kids should do chores at home? Step new wordsShow some pictures and show the new words:Stress waste depend provide neighbor drop1. Read after the teacher.2. Read by oneself.3. Read together.Step skimmingExplain the word “skim”. Then ask the students to Skim the two letters and answer the two questions:1. What is Ms. Millers opinion?2. What is Mr. Smiths opinion?After two minutes, ask several students to answer and check the answers.Step scanning 1.According to Ms. Miller and Mr. Smith, what are the pros and cons about kids doing chores? 2.Ask students to pay attention to “cons”and “pros”.Then Give them several minutes to fill in the form. 3.Ask two students to say their answers ,and ask others to add.Step knowledge presentation 1.Read the two letters again and find out the knowledge points , then discuss the usages of them with your group members . 2.Three groups sum up the first letter, and the other three groups sum up the second letter. Then ask two students to show their results. 3.At last, look at the summary of the difficulties on the screen. Learn and read together.Step Group workDebate Competition 1.Discuss in groups whether kids should do chores at home? Why ? Then have a Debate Competition! 2.Three groups represent parents, they think kids should do chores. And the other three groups represent students, they think kids shouldnt do chores. Discuss in groups and each side chooses four students to come to the front for the debate. 3.Ask other students opinions. 4.The teacher sums up the debate and say her own opinion: I think children should do chores properly,but not too much ! Dont delay learning!Step listening1. Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks.2. Ask a student to say his answers.3. Check the answers and correct the mistakes.Step exercises1. Fill in th
