人教版初中英语八年级下册Unit 5 What were you doing when the rainstorm came?Period 4 Section B Reading阅读课例设计设计教师：刘新年 教师单位：庐江县郭河中学Unit 5 What were you doing when the rainstorm came?Period 4 Section B Reading（1）学情分析这是一节阅读课。文章借助过去进行时态讲叙了2个过去发生的故事：马丁路德金被谋杀和世贸大厦被袭击。对于初二的孩子们来说，他们刚学习过去进行时态，无法很好的掌握和运用，仍需要学习和巩固。同时，文章中的这两件事情与他们距离太远，他们无法切身体会到当时的心境，需要老师渗透文化背景教育以帮助学生更好的理解文章。由于孩子们阅历尚浅，他们很少经历过类似的事情因此无法表达出相关的东西。因此，老师需要引导学生以身边的事情或者新闻为题材，拓宽思路。（2）教材分析和整合 本节课的重点是借助各种阅读技巧理解文章并进行相关的表达。在教学方面，教者做了以下整合：1、增加音乐和视频和图片材料作为输入的素材，让学生在愉快的气氛中学习本节课的重点知识。2、由于文章大量运用了过去进行时态，教者在引导学生阅读文章前加入了用过去进行时态对话的环节，起到承上启下的作用。3、为了改变阅读课一般比较沉闷的现状，教者把文章2d 的练习题改造成游戏竞赛的形式，吸引学生的兴趣，活跃课堂气氛。4、以2b的文章为载体，引导学生联系自己的实际生活，讲述类似的事情，表达自身的感受。为了帮助学生更好的完成任务，教者引导学生用填表格的形式先把事情发生的时间、地点等要素写出来，再有条理地用过去进行时态讲述事件的整个过程。（3）教学安排本节阅读课为整个单元的第四课时。本单元的主题是借助各种阅读技巧理解文章并进行相关的表达。（4）教学目标1. Get some information from the passage with the help of some reading skills. -skimming, predicting, scanning and guessing the meaning of the words3.
