Greet students as usual.Step 2:Leading in with the guessing game. 1、Pointing to different pictures and guess T: What is he doing? Ss:He is playing the guitar. T:What are they doing? Ss: They are dancing. Are they? T:What is she doing?Ss: She is listening to music. T: And it is raining heavily in the picture.So in this unit we will learn to talk about weather. Step3: 1.Pointing to different pictures of weather. Help students learn new words:Rain rainy, wind windy, cloud cloudy,snow snowy, sun sunnyRepeat several times and let them to understand Word-making.2、 Matching(Section A 1a). Ask them to match each word with one of the cities and check the answers. 3.Pairwork.Talk about weather in the pictures with your partners.Step 4:Practicing and Listening(Section A 1b and 1c)1. Pointing to different pictures of cities. Help students learn some city names: Beijing /Moscow /Toronto /Boston and Shanghai.2.Ask students to look at the picture and talk about how the weather is in each picture.3、Play the recording,and let students listen and write the city names in the boxes. Check the answers.Step5:Weather report (Group work)1.Interview and write the weather report in the group.2.Ask two students to report the weather in the map ,then choose the best reporter.Step 6:Practice.1.
