What were you at the time of the rainstorm ? I was reading in the library.三 教学过程:Step 1.Lead-inT: What are you doing now?Ss: We are having an English class.T:What were you doing at this time yesterday?Ss: We were having a math class.Step 2.Presentation1. The teacher asks students to compare with these sentences and find out the differences.教师由这四个句子,引出、教授过去进行时的用法以及肯定、否定、疑问三种句型结构,让学生改变例句并朗读。2. Asks students a question “What were you doing when the bell rang just now?”, the teacher gives an example first,”“For example, I was reading when the bell rang.”Then, choose 4 students to answer.3. 问答接龙The teacher will choose one student to answer the question according to the screen. And then he/she could ask another student after answering the question.4. Watch a cartoon about rainstorm and ask students some questions. How was the weather when Peggy and George ate biscuits?(引出学习新词rainstorm。) What was the father doing when the rainstorm came?(让学生进一步学习过去进行时第三人称单数的句型结构。) What were the other family doing when the rainstorm came?(让学生进一步学习过去进行时第三人称复数的句型结构。)5. Show the pictures and sentences, ask students to read and translate. Help students understand the sentence “What were you doing at the time of the rainstorm?” means “What were you doing when the rainstorm came?”. Ask students to finish 1a,choose one student to check the answer.6. Listening. Listen carefully and finish 1b.
