To learn the new vocabularies:achieve-achievement,southwestern,thick,include,freezing,condition,take in,succeed,challenge,in the face of,force,nature.2. To master new sentences: (1)It is 8,844.43 meters high and so is very dangerous to climb. (2)It is also very hard to take in air as you get near the top .(3) We should never give up trying to achieve our dreams.(4) It also shows that humans can sometimes be stronger than the forces of nature .3. To learn the passage about Qomolangma and master the reading skills.4. To learn the spirit of the climbers.学情分析: 初二的学生随着课程的难度增加,两极分化严重,学生在英语课上不积极参与,缺少主动发言的热情或不愿意发言,另外,相当一部分学生在听新课时跟不上老师的节奏,大部分学生对书本知识不够重视,找不到有效的学习方法,但是也有一部分同学课堂注意力集中,思维活跃,对英语学习有着浓厚的兴趣。教学重难点: 1.To master new words and sentence structures in the reading. 2.To master the reading skills. 3.To learn the spirit of the climbs.教学步骤:教师活动预设学生活动设计意图导入Step1. Leading-in The teacher plays the PPT and tells the students “we will travel to the top of the world by plane.Now we will start from Linyi.” Then show the picture of Qomolangma and talk about something about it ,and tell students its the most dangerous mountain in the world. Look at the PPT and enjoy the top of the world by plane通过让学生观看幻灯片,了解世界之最的风光,由此激发学生的学习兴趣。教学活动Step2.Reading. Task1.Ask students to read the article and match each paragraph with the main ideas in 3a. Task2. Ask students to read the 1st paragraph and answer the questions: Q1.Where are the Himalayas? Q2. How high is Qomolangma? Task3. Tell the students to Read Para.1. List the dangers for climbers. Task4.Read Para.2 and answer the questions.Q1. How many achievements are mentioned(提及)? What are they?Task5.Read Para.3 and answer the questions.1. Why do so many climbers risk their lives even though its dangerous?2. What does the spirit of climbers show us?Step3.Ask students to watch a video and learn the spirit of climbs.According to demand ,read the passage and finish 3aRead the passage and answer the questions.Read Para.1.
