She has long straight hair.2. 情感态度价值观目标:让学生学会友好、客观地描述人的形象。二、教学重难点1. 教学重点: 掌握单词,熟练掌握描述人的形象的句型。2. 教学难点: 掌握描述人的形象的句型。三、教学过程. Warming-up and lead-in Play a video. T: Good morning, guys. Hows it going?S: Great/Just so-so.T: Hows the weather?Ss: Hot.T: Yes. And I think hot days may make us feel terrible. Before our class, lets watch a video and relax ourselves.T: What does the thief look like? Funny question, right?! (问学生)Do you know “What does the thief look like?”S: No.T: Well. I dont know it, either. Because the thief will not write “I am a thief on his face”, right? So who do we need?S: The police.T: Yes, the police. Today, we are the police. To be the police, we need to learn some skills. That is what we will learn in our class. Unit 9 What does he look like? (写在黑板上)目的:引起学生的学习兴趣,导出本节课要学的内容。. Presentation (Section A 1a)1. Learn news words.thin/of medium build/heavy;tall/of medium height/short; long/short/straight/curly/black hair; wear glassesT: Now I want two students to come here.(问其他人)Can you describe their hair.(找学生)S1: Her hair is long. His hair is short.T: Great. She has long hair. He has short hair.(在黑板上写下long/short hair) Follow me.(学生跟读)T: Also, she has straight hair.(写在黑板上) Follow me. its opposite word is curly(写在黑板上) Follow me. What color is her hair?S: Black.T: Good. Black.(写在黑板上)Now follow me. long hair/short hair; straight hair/long straight hair/short straight hair; curly hair/long curly hair/short curly hair; black hair/long straight black hair/short curly black hair.(另外找三个学生)T: Can you describe their height?(写在黑板上) Do you know height?S: Yes.T: Ok. He is (比划高度)S2:He is tall. He is short.(黑板)T: Very good. He is of medium height.(黑板) Follow me. Tall/short/of medium height. He is tall./He is short./He is of medium height.(另外再找三位同学) Can you describe their build.(黑板)He is heavy.He is thin./He is of medium build.(黑板)Follow me. Heavy/thin/of medium build. He is heavy./He is thin/He is of medium build.目的:通过对本班学生的描述,学生可以生动直观地理解新词。2. BrainstormingT: Well. Ill say sth, and you guys say it in an opposite way. For example, if I say “long”, you say “short”. If I say “he ”, you say “she”. If I say “short hair”, you say “long hair” .Understand? Are you ready?S: Yes.T: Ok. Lets go. Long hairS: Short hair. . T: He is heavy. S: She is thin. T: Wonderful. Well,Now,please look at the pictures. Please tell me the difference between A and B. (放图片) S6:A is short. B is tall. S7: A is heavy. B is of medium build. S8: A has long curly hair. B has short straight hair.目的: 通过头脑风暴,让学生更深刻的掌握新单词,新句型。2. Match the words with people in the picture. (1a)T: Now please look at P49, please read the words togetherNow match the words with the people in the picture.3. Listening (1b)T: Look at the picture of 1a, listen and fill the blanks in the picture. (1b)学生听录音。 nT: Who can tell me the answer? S4: He is really tall. And he has curly hair. T: Who can tell me which one is Amys friend. S5: d. T: Great. 目的:通过匹配和听力两个任务,学生能够更好地掌握新的知识。. Pair workT: Now, do you know how to describe people.S: Yes.T: Good. (和学生做对话)What does your father look like?S: He is .T: What does your mother look like?S: She is .T: Great. Do you know what your partners parents look like?S: No.T: Well. Ask your partner “what does your father/mother look like? Go. (学生在做对话。) 目的: 通过对话练习,训练学生的目标语。且学生不太知道对方父母的长相,所以练习起来会更有趣。避免了机械的练习。.Group work1 Game: Let find the thief.T: Were the police. After learning how to describe people, lets begin to find the thief. I will read the descriptions of the thief. Please listen and then find the thief.A: He is of medium height and fat. He has little hair and always wears glasses.B: She is kind of thin. She is also tall and has long straight hair, and she wears glasses. T: Now work in group. And then describe the thieves.2. Listening: Watch and learn.T: I will play a video for you. In the video, Miss Wilson is talking with the police. The thief stole her car. The police is taking the statement. Here is the statement. Lets see it together.Now please watch and finish the statement.(放视频)T: Which group can tell me the answer to question one.T: Look at the photo. Can you find out who is the thief.S:.T: Who can describe the thief?S:目的:先是老师读人物描述,然后是视频方式,旨在锻炼学生的听力。且通过小组讨论的形式让学生讨论描述小偷的外貌, 锻炼学生说的能力。V. Writing:Write the description of the thief.T: Well, at the beginning of the class, I asked you “What does the thief look like?” Look at the screen. They are the thieves in the video. Now work in group and write down the description of them. Each student writes one person. And then share what you write with your partners.目的:通过对刚开始视频里小偷的描述,锻炼学生写作能力。. HomeworkDescribe
