Unit 5 Why do you like pandas? 一. 教材分析本单元主要是通过学习动物名称和常见的有关描述动物的形容词,学会表达个人对动物的喜好;学会运用why, what, where引导的疑问句,了解动物的外形、生活习性及主要生长地,并能运用英语简单描述自己喜欢的动物,进一步培养和激发热爱动物、保护动物、维护生态平衡的思想感情。主要学习内容如下表:类别语言项目单词词组Zoo ,animal, tiger, elephant, koala, dolphin, panda, lion, penguin,giraffe,smart,cute,fun,ugly,beautiful,clever,intelligent,friendly,shy, kind of, very, get up, Africa日常交际用语Why do you like pandas?Because they are cute.They are kind of shy.They are very big.语法1. Learn to use what, where, why to ask about animals 教学难点分析To grasp the phrases and important sentences学习目标正确理解并使用以下单词和词组:n: zoo ,animal, tiger, elephant, koala, dolphin, panda, lion, penguin, giraffev: like, come fromadj: smart, cute, fun, ugly, beautiful, clever, intelligent, friendly, shy, kind of, very, 语言技能1)听:能够抓住听力材料中的细节信息; 2)说:能够谈论自己喜爱的动物;3)读:能读懂关于中西方文化差异的文章;能抓住概括文章的主题和细节信息;4)写:能够写“my favorite animal”,包括动物及喜爱的原因,对动物的描述,动物的栖息地等; 5)演示与表达:能够表达个人意愿,倡议保护动物。 情感态度培养学生热爱动物、保护环境的思想感情。二.学情分析1. 学生已有的知识基础1)具备一定的词汇量和阅读能力。2)7上和7下分别学习了what, where, why的特殊疑问句2. 学生已有的文化基础七年级上册设计过what, where, why的问句,第一次将三个问句结合在一个话题上,学生对于三个句型的灵活问与答。三.教学模式“三段六步式”按照展示目标、前提诊测、自学交流、精要点播、小结梳理、达标测验六步的教学基本模式,将“先学后教,练为核心”的理念贯穿在教学中”在课堂中加强学生的时间意识、质疑意识、常规意识与竞争意识,最终达到高效的课堂本节课为新授课第一节,是一节以听说为主要模式的一节课。本节课主要分为五个部分:1、准备(preparation),巩固旧知;2、呈现(presentation),展示新知;3、操练(practice),感悟新知;4、运用生成(production),消化整合;5、巩固提高(progress), 回馈目标;四.教学设计1. 封面 (幻灯片第1页)2. 导入 (幻灯片第2页)这节课正直春天来临之际,老师展示四幅漂亮的图片。教师引导学生观察这些图片,教师引领启发学生。Look at these pictures, do you like these pictures? What season is it? What can you see in the picture? Yes. It is spring now. It is spring now. We have a lot of things to do in spring. We can go hiking, go camping, go to the parks There are a lot of things to do in spring. It is my favorite season. Can you guess what I like to do in spring most? I like to go to the zoo. 教师将学生的思路引导到动物园,展示动物园照片,进入主题。3. 教学目标 (幻灯片第3页)给学生解释本节课的教学目标,让学生了解通过本节课的学习能够达成的目标和养成的能力。Teaching aimsAnimals1. Animals2. Write about your favorite animal目标只给出基本框架,可以有更多扩展和想象的空间,留有悬念。4. 学习生词 (幻灯片第5-14页)学习生词部分一共分为三个部分。第一部分(Task One)Work in groups, write down as many animals as you can.Brainstorm as many words as possible. 学生在小学学习过动物的名称,学生在小组内合作完成动物名称,在规定时间内写出尽可能多的动物名称,写出做多的组获胜。写完之后小组展示,教师将动物名称写在黑板上,学生可以更直观的看到单词,在下面开展活动的时候学生可以作为一个小资料库使用。第二部分(Guessing game)该部分是猜词环节,根据学生的认知规律从声音、图片到动物的描述来猜测动物的名称,所需要猜的动物都是课本中四会词汇,一来可以巩固刚才学生brainstorm的成果,二来可以明确重点。学生在根据描述猜单词部分教师将所用到的词一边猜一边写在黑板山,这些描述性词汇稍后教师会解释这些词并告诉学生这些属于形容词,并鼓励学生用这些词来描述自己喜欢的动物。第三部分 (Exercise)1. a very large, grey animal with big ears and a very long nose: _2. an Australia animal lives in trees and eats leaves, very lazy: _3. a large, black and white animal that lives in China: _4. a large African animal with a very long neck and long, thin, legs: _5. the king of the forest, likes eating meat: _6. a super big cat, likes eating meat, has beautiful hair: _ 进一步巩固所学词汇,突出重点,学生能够很自然地表述动物,了解一部分描述动物的形容词。5. 学习课文 (幻灯片第15-29页)Step One ( Match the words with the animals in the picture. )学生完成Section 1a 部分,将动物与图片搭配起来。Step Two (Listen and check () the animals you hear in 1a. )第一遍听, 将所听到的动物名称勾画出来第二遍听, 将对话中对动物的描述性词汇(形容词)写在单词后面。Brainstorm学生尽可能多的写下描述性词汇。学生说,老师写,然后齐读,解释个别词cute, beautiful, interesting, smart, fun, scary, clean, friendly, fast, dirty, boring, small, nice, noisy, beautiful, big, strong, pretty, cool, quiet, shy, lazy.Step Three (Practice the conversation with your partner)cute interestingfun smartboy beautifulA: Lets see the lions.B: Why do you want to see them?A: Because theyre interesting.Make conversations according to sample given in activity 1c. Work in pairs; use the animals and the description words shown on the blackboard.用黑板上所展示的动物名称词和描述性词汇讨论自己最喜爱的动物。Step Four (pair work)学生展示对话后,教师对学生的表现进行评价,鼓励和纠正发音。教师进行引领“That is not enough, we can make our conversation more meaningful, we can add some more words in it”,我们需要把对话变得更有意义,需要加入程度副词,例如:a little, kind of, very, really, quite, too, so,放在形容词之前,表示强调。教师展示图片,更加生动地进行比较,学生看到形象的图片对比,能够更快地理解程度副词在剧中的作用和意义。Step Five (work in pairs)组内联系对话,加入程度副词。学生展示,教师适当点评,鼓励学生尽可能多的使用动物名称词和程度副词构成的形容词结构。Step Six (activity 2a-2c)给学生展示中国国宝大熊猫刚出生的时候,由于熊猫宝宝出生时样子跟熊猫完全不同,可以叫学生猜图片所展示的是什么动物,学生猜不出来,教师可以展示熊猫宝宝出生15天,一个月,三个月和半年的照片,这个时候熊猫宝宝就更像只熊猫了,这样一来学生就很轻而易举的猜出来是熊猫了。这个时候老师可以追问,熊猫来自哪里(Where are pandas from?),学生很自然回答China,这样很自然地引入到动物及其生长地。展示一张世界地图,展示对话细节,由学生对地图上的动物进行问与答。(Where are from? They are from ),教师将涉及到的国家名和地名写在黑板上,由学生参考使用。第一遍听,由学生完成填词和连线 (Listen and write the animals you hear.
