Warming up : First Ill let the students enjoy an English song “Take me home ,country road” This is a country music song. After listening ,Ill ask students to discuss the questions (1).Do you like this song? What can you see in the video?(2).What kind of music is it?Then ask students Do you believe that a country music song can change peoples lives 2:PredictingT: The title of the passage is very helpful. Lets look at the title of this passage , can you guess what the passage is about?A country music song changed her life foreverWhat: A country music songWho: Her(A girl)How: Changed her life foreverT: So this passage is about a girl and country music. This is the girl and her name is Sarah. What is she doing in the picture?(T show the picture of Sarah.)Ss: She is playing the guitar.T: Thats right. Lets read the passage and learn more information about her.Step 2:While-reading1. SkimmingT: Read the passage quickly and find the main idea of each paragraph. Remember: main ideas are usually the first sentence or the last sentence. Match the main idea with each paragraph.Para1 Whats Sarahs dream?Para2 Who is Sarah?Para3 What is country music2. Scanning Ill ask students to read the passage more slowly and more carefully to make the country Music Fact Sheet full .21教育网3. Careful Reading Ask students to read the passage carefully. Play a game -pick apples. I design 7 tasks. Let students choose one and finish the task. Step 3 Post reading 1.
