And ask some questions :What do you usually do on weekends? Do you want to go to the zoo?What animals do you want to see?What can you see in the video?Do you like pandas? Why? Then lets go to Unit 5. Step2. Presentation and drills.1.Show the class some pictures of animals and present other animals. Then teach new word. And ask them:1. Do you know these animals?Whats that? Its a panda. Whatre these? Theyre pandas.Do you like them? Yes. Why? Because theyreYes, I think theyre cute. (Then elephant, koala, giraffe, lion, tiger.) Step3 .Practice the words (bomb game.) Show the words on the big screen. Let Ss read loudly the words and meanwhile be careful the bomb. That can make the class join the games and remember the names of the animals. Step4. Listening Tell Ss to look at the picture and try to remember the new words of the animals. Then finish 1a.Check the answers with the class. Play the recording and check the answers with the class.Tell Ss to listen to the tape and check the animals they hear in 1a.Work on 1b. Play the recording and check the answers with the class.Step5. Pair work 1.Ask the students to imagine “ We are in the zoo, there are so many animals here.” . Ask them to talk with their partners about the animals they like using the words they knowWhat animals do you want to see? Why do you likeBecause theyre 2.
