What do you think of video? Why are many elephants killed by people? what should we do to save the elephants?After that, students will say something about the video.Purpose: Create active and happy atmosphere to help students relaxed and interested in todays lesson, get ready for the class. Arise students learning interest and they will expect what they will read.Step 2 skimming 1,which country:_2,what animal:_Purpose: This step will guide students know more about the elephants and country.Step 3 fast-reading1,Listen to the recording and check the best title for it.1. This step will guide students grasp the gist of the article. 2. Read the passage for the first time and try to know each paragraph main idea and match the sentence.Purpose: Listen carefully is also help students to find more specific information. This can train their listening strategy of detailed information and the thinking qualities.Step 4 careful reading1.Students will judge where the passage come from , if they dont know, teacher can be a guide.2.Read the passage for the first pararaph1 ,paragraph2,paragaph3 and answer some questions . Before reading, reading skill skimming should be introduced to the students to help them understand the passage well and quickly.3.Finish mind map Students will read the article for the fourth time for more specific information to fill in the mind map. Try to guide them to think and how they know the answer.Purpose: Reading carefully is also help students to find more specific information. This can train their reading strategy of detailed information and the thinking qualities.Step5 DiscussionIf your parents want to buy something made of fur, what will you say to them?Students will discuss with the group members and then write down them.Purpose: This activity can also help them practice speaking and expressing abilities. They will be more confident to express themselves and cooperate with team members.And through group work, I expect they will promise to save the pandas and protect nature. Animals are our best friends!And we should protect them and nature!
