Now look at the sentences in the box. So he is asking his father for permission. What does his father say? Listen and check () “yes” or “no”. Now listen again and find out the reasons. Then draw lines to the reasons in the chart on page 66. Now go to page 90 to read the tapescript and try find out all sentences with could for asking for permissions. You have to cut/ the sentence into thought groups, study all the predicates, circle all the linking words and underline all the expressions.Now lets try to talk by imitation. Imitation talking is using the structure of an exampleconversation as a form to talk about something of our own.2c PAIRWORKIn pairs ask each other for permissions to do things.
