By Miss DingSchool Goumenzi Middle SchoolAnalysis of the teaching materials This class is the first class of Unit Seven . The core topic of this unit is to talk about the weather and what people are doing, so how to answer How is the weather? What are you/ is he/she doing? is the key sentences of this unit . The focus of this lesson is to learn the adjectives and patterns to describe the weather and review Present Progressive Tense ,it requires students to master and use the lexical category and sentences to describe the weather.Analysis of the students The students in Grade seven have a certain learning and expression ability, they can analyze and solve problems through independent and cooperative learning. But their abstract thinking ability is low,and they can be distracted easily .The best way is to create situations and arouse their interests in study. Learning Aims Knowledge aims:Words: rain,rainy,windy,cloudy,sunny,snow, snowy ,weather.Sentences: How is the weather?/What is the weather like? Its. Ability aims: Put the knowledge into practice,talk about the weather. Emotion and culture aims: Lets pay more attention to the weather and love the nature. Learn to cooperate.Key and difficult pointsKey points:Words to describe the weather.Difficulties: The two forms of asking about the weather ,and describe the weather accurately.Teaching strategies The use of multimedia presentations to create situations stimulates students desire of seeking knowledge and make students always in a positive state of active exploration problems, so as to cultivate students thinking ability. In the situation under the guidance of independent participation in knowledge of the occurrence, development, formation process, in theory, thinking of enlightenment.
